Introducing Ticuto - a new cozy mmo

Post by ticuto »

Hello, everyone!

I’d like to introduce a new game I’ve been working on called Ticuto! It’s an open-ended, isometric pixel art world where you can meet new people, play mini-games, complete quests, craft, mine for ores, and fight monsters.

But Ticuto isn’t just another pixel game—it’s a cozy, time-bending adventure where you can uncover hidden realms, collect strange artifacts, and decorate your own private spaces across multiple dimensions.

🤔 What Makes Ticuto Different?

Ticuto stands out from most online games in a few ways:
Classic 2D Pixel Art Meets Multiplayer – A nostalgic old-school aesthetic combined with modern online functionality.
A World Built on Parallel Dimensions & Time Travel – Adventure across fractured realities with ever-changing landscapes.
Inspired by the Best – Ticuto blends elements of Habbo, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, and The Sims into one unique experience.
As the game is being developed, I heavily rely on player feedback for feature requests, bug reports, and general suggestions. Our community loves this so far and I plan to continue.

⚡What’s It About?

Dr. Tuto was on the brink of greatness. His latest invention—the Ticuto Machine—was meant to seamlessly transport people between worlds. Instead, it fractured reality, scattering Time Crystals across multiple dimensions and tearing holes between parallel universes.
Now, the multiverse is in chaos. Candyland forests are merging with ancient Aztec ruins, alternate versions of the same people are appearing in the wrong places, and some events are stuck in endless time loops. The only way to restore balance? Find the missing Time Crystals and repair the Ticuto Machine before the damage becomes irreversible.

Oh, and there’s Dark Tuto—an alternate version of Dr. Tuto who seems hell-bent on seizing power and sabotaging you at every turn.
But there’s a twist—while searching for Crystals, players discovered something even stranger: Shards. These smaller fragments don’t allow full world-hopping, but they let players pull alternate versions of items from other dimensions.
  • A wooden chair in one world might be a golden throne in another
A simple apple could become a glowing, reality-warping artifact
Shards can also restore wilted crops or enable quick (but unstable) fast travel
As players progress through quests and repair the machine, they’ll also unlock new recipes, craftable blueprints, and exclusive items, each one a potential anomaly from another world.

🚀 Be Among the First Explorers!

Ticuto is currently in early access, and you can sign up now at Ticuto.com.
No downloads are required—Ticuto runs entirely in your browser. It also (somewhat) works on mobile, though it’s still a work in progress.

💰 So, What Does This Cost?

Ticuto is free to play!

Most features are completely free, and you can earn Gold (the in-game currency) just by playing. Shards are a paid currency that can be purchased along with Gold, but they don’t block progression—they just provide extra perks and fun reality-bending mechanics.

🔎 Who’s Developing This?

You might remember Lasuni, or perhaps BinPalz, a virtual world from back in the day. Well, the same developer (Jason—that’s me!) is behind Ticuto! I am developing it solo, with the help of freelance pixel artists.
