Any love for the 32X ?

I love having a 3D printer.

Pretty much unnecessary accessory, but it's awesome being able to simply print one up. And the person that designed this did a good job. They did it in two halves, so each half has a flat bottom. That makes it easy print, and less you have to do to clean it up after printing. I just printed one up for myself and it looks fantastic!

Region locking on the 32X is the same as the base MD/GEN. [...] If you are interested I can chuck the Japanese rom on my flash cart and see if I can bypass the region protection with the region switch, on my US GEN / US 32X setup. It is the most simple mode, it would take someone like you Zigs, tops 5 minutes.

IIRC, I read that Virtua Racing Deluxe doesn't it different than the norm. But if you check, let me know! The patched ROM is working for me now, so it's all good.

Naturally, as soon as I get new hardware I'm thinking about what mods I can do to it. But I may want to keep my 32X stock.

Ah, gotchya. I still probably wont do it, though. Simply because I have the flash cart, I can either use a patched ROM or Game Genie codes to bypass the region check. If I were to start collecting imports though, I would definitely want to mod the console. Which I had heavily considered picking up a few Japanese Mega Drive games, just because some of the box art and carts look cool.
