I will give the developers of Rita's Rewind some credit, they just released a patch to address the game's numerous complaints. I may give the game another shot, so kudos to them. This is why complaining is good, it leads to results. I feel like some gamers never want to criticize anything. Too much positivity is NOT a good thing.
My disappointment with the initial build of the game led me down the OpenBOR rabbit hole, and my God I have discovered some AMAZING beat 'em ups. I have taken quite a liking to some by a creator called ZVitor. One in particular I am thoroughly enjoying at the moment is this:

I played that Mega Man X8 16-bit demake. I can appreciate the effort that went into this. However, it somehow makes it even MORE obvious how bad MM X 8's level design was. Here the game is in the form of the old 16-bit games that many people love, and still the levels feel awful to play through
It makes me just want to go play MM X 1 or 2 again instead
At the moment I'm going between different Doom mod loadouts and Nikoderico and Funko Fusion, the latter two on Switch.
The Scott Pilgrim and The Thing worlds look alright on the Switch, but the graphics takes a MASSIVE nosedive when I try playing the He-Man world. Don't know if any of the other worlds have the same issue. I still enjoy it though.
I also really enjoy Nikoderico, which is like a mix of Donkey Kong Country and Crash Bandicoot, both of which I love.
Currently racing in Project Gotham 4... and I'm surprised at how challenging it is at normal difficulty. Perhaps it's the 30 fps frame rate?
Maybe I'll get better cars later one?
You know, I don't like posting on this thread, because every time I have, I have ended up not beating the game! But at the same time, some of what I play has no actual ending. Like I'm back into Warframe at the moment, and titles like Deep Rock Galactic or Last Train Outta Worm Town don't finish, you just keep playing over and over with friends.
1. I've just started up Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir on Switch. My switch backlog has gotten so big I realised I almost have an unbeaten game for every letter of the alphabet - so I'm playing through an alphabet of Switch games this year. I've done Another Code Recollection, Bomb Chicken, Castlevania Advance Collection, Disco Elysium and Espgaluda II so far, so I've made good headway. Some of the later games get pretty long though, so we'll see how far I can get through by the end of the year.
2. Separately I've been working through Persona 4 Royal on PS4, a game I've been meaning to play for years now. I'm enjoying it but man these games are loooong. I'm about 30 hours in now, after finishing the 3rd main dungeon. Apparently there are 9 in total so a long way to go yet!
3. I've also just started playing through Split Fiction on PS5 with a buddy. We're only an hour and a half or so in but it's been pretty fun so far. It feels maybe a little too fast paced in terms of plot but it works for co-op seeing as you don't necessarily both wanting to be waiting around.
