I don't have any titles to note, but I did want to mention something that was eluted to in the OP's post. Any 360 game you buy on the Xbox One or Series consoles, can be downloaded onto your Xbox 360. So any game on the BC list, including DLC. I just got myself Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon on the Xbox One. After the shutdown, I can still pull the download list and install them on my 360.

Yeah hypothetically, this should work, but I've noticed 360 titles purchased under the XB1/XBS marketplace don't show up in my 360 dash "My Games" section. I'll try manually searching for these titles in 360 shop & see if I can manually DL from there.

I was mainly focusing on which titles to grab before they're gone from the XB ecosystem (or from existence completely). If the 360 titles are already backwards compatible, I feel okay about buying them layer. Cool ability to still play on a 360 digitally later though.

Also, worth noting there's a lot of rumors floating around about more Activision titles being added to backwards compat catalog. We'll see how that plays out...

I haven’t hooked up by 360 in years, but if I remember correctly, I don’t think they would show up on my dash section. I have to double or triple check but I remember under settings or account you were able to go and pull a download list. I think it’s under your purchase history.

So there is a My Games section. Just have to dig a bit. It does appear to have my digital 360 titles I purchased on XB1/XBS. Good news there.

On another note ... super interesting there are still some original XB titles up for sale on 360 market that were BC on the 360, but not on the Series consoles. Some examples below. Hmm... wondering if Magatama will work on a US console.

Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex

I’m glad you were able to get those games on the 360. A larger selection of games will go on sale soon, as per this article: https://www.destructoid.com/ahead-of-th ... -possible/

Awesome! I have one of those games from that video: Space Invaders Infinite Gene. Pretty unique spin on the SI formula. Also forward compatible with the One at least.

Edit: I wanted to ask, what is everyone’s version of the console? I have the E revision with a 500GB drive. Not a lot of people like the E, but I prefer it over the S.

I'll look that one up. I'd actually heard the Yars Revenge remake was fun too. Seeing Alien Rage for 99 cents as a Sci-Fi FPS, I'll grab it:

With Legend of Kay dropping to $7.49 (vs 19.99), I'll grab that to enjoy with my kiddos:

Also rocking the 360E. I intentionally picked one up in nice shape around 5.5 years ago. My thought was to buy a system that would last the longest. They seemed to have resolved the manufacturing defects by then. Mine has the 1TB drive. I try to rip 360 games to HDD to save wear.

Interesting you can DL some OGX games from the store & play off internal HDD, but you can't rip physical OGX discs to HDD. I do use the OGX back compat a decent amount. The native HDMI is nice for that catalog.

Been really tempted to get a RGH or JTAG slim system though.

They made a 1TB version?! I had no idea. I was lucky to buy a 500GB hdd by itself at a local GameStop years ago for $20 brand new. It was clearanced out.

In actuality, my E was the 4GB model that came with no hdd and I added the internal drive afterwards.

The OG Xbox games are weird. It’s been over ten years but I remember back in the day that you needed an hdd to play those games, even off disc. While some got brought over to the One and Series, some of those games never passed the 360. The original Fable and GTA San Andreas. The latter has all of the radio stations and from what I gathered, is the best version to play on a console outside of owning the original game and hardware. The newer release on the 360 was the mobile port and was poorly received. The trilogy release was even worse.

You're 100% right  . Biggest official 360E drive was 500GB. I remember checking multiple systems before I found one with a HDD. They had some strange sizes too (320?). I was thinking of my Xbox One S which is the 1TB Lego Forza bundle 8)

It's really pretty amazing they got Intel x86 to Power PC OGX emulation on 360 working at all. That's why the OGX to XB1/XSX back compat program has nothing to do with the OGX to 360 program before it.

MVG has a pretty solid video on this topic ->

In college, my house played quite a bit of Halo 2 multiplayer on the 360 before they sunset it. Good memories there. Also interesting the 360 ran an entirely different ecosystem for XB Live but also ran the OGX XBL via back compat games like H2.
