Yeah, Revolution is shaping up very nicely. I am not saying AEW is outstanding, but this is the most I have enjoyed AEW in a good number of months. They certainly got the hook back on me this year after a fairly lacklustre end to the 2023 with a particular mediocre PPV in December.

How do you feel about the teased heel turn for Flair and it looking like he might side with the Bucks? Part of me feels it seems just a little predictable and silly? But then, given their history and the heat it would put on the Bucks, it would make sense. Don't know, but either way I am really looking forward to this one. I can't think of many if any bad Bucks or Darby and Sting matches and I think this will be very special.

I agree with the rest of your post too, regarding all the current matches and feuds. Okada and Hangman would be awesome. Regarding Hangman potentially winning the title and you mentioning it might be for the best, given what happened last time, I do agree. I want him to have another reign, but let's take our time to get there. His character, I feel is better as someone who is chasing the title. Once he has it though, AEW need to do a better job of booking him as champion this time.

Danielson's booking continues to be disappointing. He's better as a face, yet they have had him be heel (and to make it even worse, have flip flopped on that so many times) and stuck him almost in his own 'Codyverse' type of situation, as you said. He's arguably their biggest ever signing outside of a very small handful of other names and is one of the best wrestlers in the world, he really should be in the main title picture pretty consistently

There's rumours (might even be a semi confirmed leak?) that a PPV will be held in April. That means we have:

March - Revolution
April - Unnamed PPV?
May - Double or Nothing
June - Forbidden Door
August - All In
September - All Out
October - Wrestledream?
November - Full Gear
December - World's End?

They still have that long gap over the Summer months. I really hope they use that to build All In properly this year. There's really no excuse. Hopefully, with the whole Punk issue nd separate Collision universe behind them, they will do a better job this time. I don't really count Forbidden Door, as it's mostly a nothing show each year in terms of progressing ongoing storylines (as much as the matches are great), so they have 3 months to push major feuds and stories, if they really want All In to be like their annual 'Wrestlemania' type show.

Oh shit, Hangman is suspected to have suffered a broken ankle last night :(

This company is cursed.

Oh my god, fucking Dave Meltzer strikes again

That was a Dave story above. Fightful have now contradicted it and said Hangman is fine. Apparently he was acting. It was kayfabe.

AEW just hired an ex-WWE writer who is tight with Mercedes Monet and Bayley

Guess we gotta make sure we don't get another walk out

"We here at AEW are all deeply disappointed in the actions of Mercedes Monet and some other lady who no one cares about for walking out on a live broadcast"

In other news, Dax Harwood and Tony Kahn are making asses of themselves on Twitter and the sky is also blue.

I watched the second match between Brian Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr in Osaka Japan. Man it was awesome, you rarely get to see Bryan bust out all of his technical skills like that, even in AEW. Seeing the two egos of these man clashing was great. Bryan getting ZSJ in a submission and going, "C'mon! Grab the rope! Grab the rope Zack!" and Zack refusing to do so was just fantastic. They were wrestling in front of a Japanese crowd and yet I heard yes chants, this is awesome, fight forever, and Zack Sabre Jr chants. What a crowd!

Drew McIntyre seems like a lock to face Seth Rollins at Mania, which I think is great. LA Knight though...

Man, what the fuck does he do at Mania?

You know, instead of this Night 1 Rock/Roman vs Cody/Seth stupid nonsense, I wish they could find a way to just get The Rock to feud with LA Knight and let THAT be a Mania match. Didn't The Rock originally want a 1 on 1 match with Roman? If they are dead set on Cody vs Roman, then do The Rock vs LA Knight.

Remember what a big deal it was when Kevin Owens got to fight Austin at Mania? Let's do the same with Rock/LA Knight.

Drew stop, you're killing me

Oh, and how can I forget:

This whole week has been shit on Punk week

Looks like they set up AJ Styles vs LA Knight for Mania. Actually, looks like they have just set up s bunch of Mania matches.

Yeah, disappointing. Feels like both of them are slowly being phased out of the main event scene. Happy for Drew McIntyre though, he's clearly going to be the next Raw world champion.

AJ's booking lately hasn't been great, so this is kind of a nothing match for LA Knight and there's nothing important on the line either. Sigh.

Becky versus Rhea Ripley isn't exciting, because Becky doesn't need this. Rhea beating Charlotte elevated her career. Becky beating Rhea does nothing for either woman. Rhea should have been putting someone over who needs to get to the next level.

The Kabuki Warriors retaining makes sense, but it's kind of sad for the Australian crowd.

The PPV sounds like it's been completely predictable so far. Like I've said before, WWE is coasting right now. Nothing surprising or noteworthy will happen from now until Mania. Honestly, I think Okada and Mercedes debuting in AEW is more exciting than anything WWE has going on right now...if AEW handles them right

What I wish would happen at Mania:

Drew McIntyre beats Seth Rollins by cheating somehow and becomes Raw champ

Bayley beats Iyo despite Dakota Kai turning on her and the Kabuki Warriors getting involved in the match at every opportunity. She pays for it though, with them all giving her a post match beatdown. Iyo looks more unhinged than we've ever seen before.

Rhea Ripley defeats Becky Lynch...decisively. "Mami" is not dropping that title yet, and she's certainly not getting beat by "The Man".

LA Knight beats AJ Styles, grabs a mic and says that whoever walks out as champ in the Cody/Roman match, he'll be coming for them. He doesn't know when. He doesn't know how, but it's going to happen.

Seth turns heel on Cody to MASSIVE boos. Roman looks perplexed, but ultimately pins Cody. Damien Priest cashes in. Judgement Day comes out to ringside. Priest, Domick, Balor, and JD are all fighting against The Rock, Solo, and Jimmy Uso. Rhea Ripley of course gets involved, probably low blowing The Rock and then helping her team gang up on Solo and putting through him an announce table. Priest gets in the ring, him and Roman fight a bit, other Judgment members are interfering in the match and ultimately, Priest pins Roman. Judgment Day finishes off what's left of the Bloodline. They grab Cody, who is just coming to after losing the match and beat the piss out of him. The show ends with Priest and Judgment Day standing tall holding the WWE title, the Raw women's title, and the tag titles. Paul Heyman looks utterly shocked. Cody looks likes he's going to cry.

We see LA Knight in the back watching all of this on a TV monitor.
