Gamecube Classic Controller?

Post by andymol21 »

Anyone know anything about this? I just came up with this weird little controller when I was searching for a Wavebird on eBay.

Looks like a Wii classic controller, but with a Gamecube plug on the end... Looks really nice as a competitor for the Hori Digital Controller!

Ok, so I ended up buying it. I love me some strange Gamecube accessories!

I'll write up a review here when it arrives. I think I may have just found the perfect Gamecube Controller for classic games, as long as the quality is up to scratch (which I doubt very much for £9.98 including shipping).

Here's hoping!

Hmn.... Maybe you could gut it and put the Gamecube plug on an official Classic Controller?

Well you are certainly living up to your user name! We shall see, I imagine it's going to be cheap plastics, but I'm quietly optimistic!

Heh, Thanks!

You never know with these Chinese sellers though, you could get a very well made pad or you could get a steaming pile of crap, but we'll see when it arrives!

Well if you do, don't buy the one I just did!!!

The seller is selling the exact same controllers in his shop for £5.99 with free shipping...

Just emailed him to see if I could get a refund of £3.99 to cover the difference, but I'm not hopeful. Still, I feel the controller is worth the £9.98 I paid for it, so any refund will be a moral victory.

Really should do more research on these impulse buys

When you get it I need you to do a test. See if the dpad will move you in a game that does not traditionally have dpad movement - ie Zelda or Mario. If it does I will be quite happy. If not I will probably still order a few.

Also does it have a Z button?

Check the second picture Mozgus - it looks like it has a Z button beside both L and R (Zl and Zr).
