What a coincidence. Last night was apparently prom night in my hometown. At least I assume that's why lots of teenagers in suits and dresses kept popping in at Food Lion around 6-7 last night.

I think I'm going to try to move to Austin. Praying that my job lets me transfer. I have a chance to work with a family friends small business on the side and get a cheap place to rent from him.

I haven't. I'm taking one class a semester right now because I have a fantastic job where I'm building a lot of very important connections, and I'm already starting to get to use them to make more money.
I actually got the partial green light on it already and I'm really excited. I'll be making 4k+ a month and Ill only have to pay ~500 a month in rent. I'm trying to retire at 40 so I'm going to get to build my savings like crazy.

Things are looking good for Austin. Even if it doesn't work out I think it'll be a fun adventure.

Unrelated but here's a turntable freestyle I recorded today

Would anyone recommend a 3D printer and if so, what's the best beginner 3D printer for under $300?

God knows what I could make for fun and/or profit.

If you're going to make for profit you want a more expensive, nicer 3D printer. For fun anything will do, just about.

Personally I'm just worried the software for creating original designs will be too overwhelming. I was thinking of starting with simple designs for custom light switch plates or game pieces (either print the whole line or just print one of each original piece and make a mold to make a whole lot of them out of resin).

:x Why don't people understand that trash cans and recycling bins have finite space? It's not like the TARDIS, people! And if you wouldn't shop for groceries with a trash can, why fill a shopping cart with garbage and/or recyclables?

It probably doesn't help matters that at my job, one of my counterparts was a J1 worker who went back home and my other counterpart is taking time off. The latter worked five mornings a week, just as I worked five evenings a week, with the former cover my nights off and the latter's mornings off.

On the plus side, this means getting a few more hours. On the flip side, I have to work one or two mid-shifts which means not being available for my morning job. Thankfully it's just until the summer help starts.

:D I ordered a projector screen that'll be here this upcoming Thursday...

:( ...which of course is a night I have to work. And since I only get one night off next week, I'll have to wait until the week after to test it out.
