Recently scored this cult classic on Blu-ray. I've been wanting to see it for ages, at least a decade, but never found the time and then my old external hard drive with an old-ass VHS rip from Cinemageddon crapped out.
It has its moments, the guys are cute (especially Chaser) and the theme song slaps. Other than that it's a rental at best.
Just rewatched Scream, the original not the same-named sequel from last year. I'm hoping to be able to see the new one while it's in theaters so I'm trying to get caught up.
Me and the wife watched You People on Netflix this weekend. Didn't care for the over the top theme and i'll leave it at that. The wife fell asleep 30 minutes in, me at about 15 min left. It was well acted with what they had to work with. I would have rather spent the time in season 28 diablo 3 lol. She's 0-3 on picking movies last couple months
Finished the latest James Bond movie (No Time to Die). It has a number of problems but on the whole it was decent, although that rested largely on Anna De Armas, Ben Whishaw, and Lashana Lynch. Rami Malek's villain was pretty weak sauce. No Skyfall, that's for sure. About time to transition to a new Bond. I hope they bring back Lashana Lynch for that.
Been watching the scream movies to get ready for the new one out myself Repo. Of course 1 and 2 are my favorites. 3 is pretty good for a 3rd movie, 4 was trash, 5 was good with a pretty weak motive that ruined it for me. I'll be torrenting 6 pretty soon and see what's up.
Watched Tobe Hooper's Mortuary. I really don't understand why it's such a despised film. It's like a self-aware throwback to the type of stuff you'd see on Vinegar Syndrome. The last attempt of comedy I've seen by him was fucking garbage (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), but the humour here is definitely a lot better. Add some of the worst CGI and very odd casting choices and you've got a hilarious gem.
