I Went over to my local Gamestop earlier and picked up Saints Row, Enchanted Arms, and Lost Planet. With the sale, I ended up paying about 10 bucks for each of them. Not bad for those games.
Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...

got disgaea, shadow of the colossus (black label), and final fantasy XII collector's edition for $35. not too shabby.

the FFXII is missing the bonus dvd so if anybody's got that, let me know. i'd gladly buy it from you.

my experience there echoes others' sentiments about how awful most gamestop experiences are. maybe i am just used to hiring decent, intelligent people at my job but god DAMN where do some of these troglodytes come from?

It really is amazing how variable the quality of a Gamestop employee can vary from store to store. There's a Gamestop next to my grocery store where everyone is a total moron who never has any idea what I'm talking about. Barely 2 miles away there's another Gamestop where everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I guess it all depends on the manager.

Eh, I went up there and couldn't find anything I actually wanted. Then I was overhearing the employees argue over who gets to take what games home tonight to play, and I suddenly felt ill for even considering giving them money and had to leave.

yeah i think i prefer my local store (mcvan's) even though they are a little pricier. at least i know the quality is going to be much higher in terms of service.

that said i might go back and raid the 9.99 and under bin for some decent titles today, haha

I went in there yesterday and banged up the shelves for about 45 minutes trying to locate all the games I have been thinking about. I am becoming a regular in there so the guy knows me and knows the type of person I am.... he no longer shows me like 9 different copies of the game I'm looking for, he grabs the best condition ones.... and if there is anything missing from making it complete he doesn't even bother to ring it up and puts it back on the shelf. He also lets me know when there is a used variant of a game I'm looking for and hooks me up with that. I picked up the MLB 09 Show, which he had used and on top of my discount card got for like 47 dollars. Which is nice since that game is only a few weeks old. I also grabbed Wild Arms 3, Disgaea 2, Valkrie Profile: Silmeria, and Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2. I was looking for Persona 3 but they only had the disc and that doesn't fly with me. I might go back in a week and terrorize the bins again, I passed a lot of other games I was interested in, I was really trying to find a lot of the RPGs, I still can't find Stella Deus, La Pucelle Tactics, or Suikoden 4.

That doesn't seem like much of a deal! I presume there's a missing word in that!
Lol, yeah, you buy 2 games but get only 1 of them.

Picked up Disgaea 2, Xenosaga Episode 3 and Atelier Iris 3. Might go back tomorrow and pick up a few cheapo 360 games. Definitely need to hit up a different store because the guy at my closest one kept pushing pre-orders on me for like 5 minutes.
