So what's up with XBOX Live?

My free month of XBOX Live Gold expired and a friend gave me a code for another month, I tried SSFIIHD Remix online and could play fine but Street Fighter 4 gives me this message: "online play via xbox live is not available with the current gamer profile".

Does anyone know what's up with this and how can I fix it?

Hmm. I didn't know you could use more than one free month code per live account. Interesting. I've got a shit load of codes and I thought I could try the same shit I did on my Xbox (the old one) where I just got free xbox live for months on end cause it would keep validating the free codes in games. I tried to put a free month one in and it let me have a free month but as soon as I tried another after the free month expired it wouldn't let me for some reason.

Are you sure you're signed in with a Gold account and not just a Silver account? Check your account status.

They come inside retail games every now and then. Make sure you buy your games from somewhere that doesn't gut the games. Gamestation in this country are notorious for taking the freebies from inside game cases. Especially on used titles.

It said gold, dunno where the free month came from, a friend gave it to me and he is on vacation.

I got the tournament update for street fighter and everything seems to work ok now, odd but at least I can play now

I used like 4 1-month codes in a row, followed by a few 48-hour codes. I don't think there is any limitation. The trick is to make sure you use em before they expire...

Now I ran out of freebies so I bought a 13-month card from Amazon.ca for like $35 (it was a good sale)
