Ooh! This should be fun.
I really wish Truxton was on the Mini -- I'm too lazy right now to flash my unit and I don't have an Everdrive.
I've had Truxton on my shopping list for a while, but been too cost-conscience to pull the trigger on it.

You'll want a Game Genie. You'll need it to get around the region locked games anyway.

I went hardcore and have a Japanese Mega Drive for playing import games because I thought it would be fun to have. But as Gunstar Green said, the Game Genie is what most folks use and works for most of the games out there!

I actually have a Game Genie already, but it doesn't seem to work anymore -- just boots up to a black screen. Gonna be tough to get any isopropyl alcohol at the moment, but I'll have to try cleaning it or just purchase another one.

It's also just sexy with that giant gold 16-bit emblem.

This is a tough month for me, in general I hate Sega consoles, and that list of early sega games is a bit rough. There are some great games on the list most notably golden axe, revenge of shinobi, and ghouls n ghosts, but I have played just about everything on that list that I am interested in playing.

Having said that, it is April and I have not played a genesis game yet, and I would not be opposed to doing my annual playthrough of golden axe or replaying ghouls n ghosts.

I do have a mild interest in forgotten worlds and last battle so maybe I will check them out

I just need to be the lone person to admit to actually enjoying Sword of Vermillion. I will say it's a bit less than the sum of its parts and agree with not doing anything well at that). But it was a fun adventure anyway. I love exploring and growing the character, and only a game like this has that old-timey simple RPG feel, all with an action battle system to keep you from falling asleep.

Played through the entire game on original cart about a decade ago and have no regrets.

If I ever play it again (this time on the Sega PSP collection) I ought to do my own reveiw of it. It's not amazing, but is a bit misunderstood.

I spent some time with Space Harrier II and Ghouls n‘ Ghosts last night.

These games are hard.
