As a photographer, it irks me when I end up taking a sweet looking shot, only to have Professor Oak nitpick that the Pokemon isn't located dead center of the damn picture :?

That aside, it's still a really fun little game and I'm sort of sad that it never received some sort of sequel. I'd totally buy a modern Pokemon Snap with a better scoring system and larger roster.

Professor Oak doesn't know the rule of thirds.

Pokémon Snap not getting a sequel on Wii U is one of those open goal misses that Nintendo sometimes have, like not putting out a Four Swords game on DS line consoles or not putting out Virtual Boy titles on 3DS Virtual Console.

My heart is exploding with agreement.

You know what I mean :lol:

Everyones big complain with Four Swords Adventures was the need to connect GBAs to have 2 screens for multiplayer. Nintendo then spends the next 13 years actively selling a console with 2 screens by default and somehow the 2 concepts pass on seperate trains in the night, never to meet.

Haha, yes I know you mean.

On that thought - Ninty seems pretty intent to continue the 3DS line basically until people stop buying games for it. I almost wonder why they haven't figured out a way to use the 3DS with the Switch then. Much like using GBA's on Gamecube, you could have the Switch docked for big screen and 3DS for "controllers" with other stuff on the screen as well. Again... Four Swords would be the obvious showpiece.

I think we can all agree, though, that the lack of Virtual Boy games on the 3DS virtual console was a big miss. The lack of a Panzer Dragoon game for the Wii was another, but that’s not all on Nintendo.

I plan on playing Panzer Dragoon on Saturn and Wild Guns reloaded on PC, although I guess that is cheating since reloaded came out pretty recently, I bought it on the steam sale so I figure this is as good of an excuse as any to play it.

I probably won't get to either until my vacation next week unless I get a snow day tomorrow

I never played space harrier, I've heard lots of great things about it over the years, maybe this month is a good month to finally play it. Assuming I can play any version do you feel the PCE version is the best? Or should I just MAME it and do the arcade original?

<sad trombone>

I feel you on this. I need to get through that game someday, and I’m not sure how I’ll do it. It’s supposed to be pretty great.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again...3DS is the way to go on that game. Once you’ve experienced scaling sprites in 3D, you can’t go back. Also, M2’s port is amazing.

At the time, the PCE port was as good as any other, and better than most might give it credit for. That's my main reason for loving it: nostalgia.
