Yeeeeah, still not a fan of this sort of thing.

Ya know, I almost bought a Limited Run game, once. Having a portable (Vita) version of Ys Origin sounded sublime. But I missed the original sale and of course the website had no more copies. So I hopped on eBay praying that the scalpers weren't charging too much. It was then that I discovered the game had also received a Chinese release with an English language option. So I got that instead. lulz
I know their Vita and PS4 releases can be a pain, but I'll just point out that all of LRG Switch releases have been 2-week-long open pre-orders. So anyone paying even marginal attention to their release schedule shouldn't have a hard time getting a copy if they truly want one.

noiseredux wrote:... every other Pokemon game has confirmed that the formula works great without any gimmicky motion controls. And this being sort of a remake of Yellow, well Yellow already showed you how to make a great Pokemon game using a dpad and two buttons. So WHY would they not give us the option to play it the same way? Like I said, I'm out. If I get the itch to revisit Yellow I'll just download it from the VC I guess. It's a bummer because this went from one of my more anticipated 2018 games to totally-not-interested.
For what it's worth, I've read that in portable mode you aim your throws with the cursor and throw the ball by pressing a button. The motion controls in handheld mode are purely optional.

But as far as I know that applies solely to handheld mode.

Been watching folks play pokemon let's go and I am sold. It looks like a ton of fun. My 3 year old was like, "I want to play that with you." so I am sold. Wanting it for Christmas.

So as we know from that direct a little while back Square-Enix got largely on board with their FF franchise. They did a pretty solid uncharacteristic level price cut on FF15 Pocket Edition when it came out right on the end of that so I grabbed it.

I've been so wrapped up I have yet to start it. I was wondering did any of you pick it up on Switch or perhaps have it before and have an opinion on it one way or the other, or care to discuss it at all. That game seems to fly under the conversation radar for whatever reason.

I'm really enjoying Pokemon Let's Go personally. I think a simple Pokemon game was all I ever wanted to be honest. I just couldn't get into the later entries.

I can only really play in handheld mode though. I can't get into the joycon motion controls.

Amazon has the starlink switch bundle for $40. If you were on the fence to play this, that is a huge deal that can't be passed up. You get an arwing. I repeat, you get an arwing.

Best buy will have it at $35 on Black Friday (If you enjoy that kind of event).

I believe you get a better deal with the digital version; if your not into toys.

So, while many of these Arcade Archives releases are "new" - appearing on the Switch and PS4 on the same day - many are also now appearing on Switch that were released on PS4 years ago (like Atomic Robo-Kid). I wonder if the Switch will ever "catch up" in this regard. I'd really like to get Cosmo Police Galivan, Contra, and Bubble Bobble, for example.

Also, what's the financial strategy of slowly releasing these? They could surely just dump a bunch at once into the eShop.
