Complaining about characters in Resident Evil of all things not having characters that look/sound like older versions is a bit of a waste of time at this point in the franchise

REmake 2 and Last of Us 2 are probably the two games in the conference I've been most excited to just exist as video games so far. They're not games I'm probably ever going to play, but they just look so pretty and the atmosphere looks so good I'm excited for when they can come out and I can watch other people having fun with them. That bit with the licker in the REmake 2 trailer was SO cool X3 (even though I'll admit I was getting kinda excited for a really HD "being a mouse"-simulator kinda like Mister Mosquito :P )

Sounds interesting. I am also intrigued by Valkyria Chronicles 4. Death Stranding looks promising. It'll likely be years before I play any of this stuff though.

The first thing I watched from this E3 was Naughty Dog's The Last of Us 2 trailer. It went from Ellie sucking on some girl's lips to her slitting a guys throat and then someone else disemboweling a torture victim, guts dangling like an intestinal wind-chime. All of this in extremely detailed realism. That was enough E3 for me for one day. The best news I read about was the Metal Wolf Chaos PC port, legit excited for that.
To be fair, the point of the last of us 2 showcase was to highlight the stark contrast and ask, "How did Ellie get here?" Obviously it deals with vengeance for a religious cult murdering her girlfriend because they view homosexuality as a sin. They also put a warning at the beginning of that showcase that what you would see is graphic violence.

Yes. Sony/ND spent untold millions to simulate a hyper graphic murder simulator. They'll be rewarded with sky high sales and an absurdly high Metacritic score.

Oh, boy, that's exactly what I wanted from The Last of Us 2. /sarcasm

No, seriously, though, I enjoyed the first game a lot. I don't like the direction this is taking at all from these descriptions.

Care to elaborate on what that direction is that you don't like about it?

From the context, I would presume "hyper-graphic murder simulator".

Well, that reaction does fit the majority's response. There's clearly a big market to receive this content, so fair enough! I just spent nearly $200 on a decade old submersible simulator; I'm admittedly out of sync with whatever I'm supposed to be buying and playing in 2018.

Smash has ALL the characters. If they were in a Smash game they are playable. DLC included.

Also, Daisy Ridley confirmed for Smash.
