I have so many good ideas for a game but it is mostly story based, one thing I really miss personally is Adventure games, the main reason why I like adventure games is because some of them do tell a good story, like someone once said that a good adventure game is like reading a good book, I think thats really true.

So yeah, the idea I have is just have a simple detective story, like the whole "who killed so and so" kind of thing. But don't want it to be that simple, I want a game with characters, what I mean by characters is that I want the game to have very unique characters that would stand from of all the stereotypical characters that you see in every game, I want to be as complex and detailed as possible, like they there own personal needs and wants, what they like, who do they love or hate. Have a game with characters that everyone can relate to in every way, plus I want to feel attached to them like incase they ever get killed off, I want them to feel crushed about it, kinda like Aerial from FFVII except it won't be as expected, I could happen to anyone. As the main character, I want to break away with most of the cliche's, he is not Sherlock Holms, he is just an average joe with hardly any martial arts experience, he just fights like everyone else, he is not trained military man, he just fires a gun just like everyone else, plus you want to use your gun all the time, you need to conserve it because the only way you can get more ammo is ether buy them or steal them. While I am on the subject, you can't steal everything, its not GTA, every move you make there is a consequence, like if you are waiting for a subway and there is a guy standing in front of you, if you push him to the tracks, everyone would think you are a cold hearted killer, plus if you keep your shenanigans up, you will a very negative reputation with most the people around you and you will pretty much not going to progress any further and you would never get too much info out from anyone, and it is possible that you would be thrown to jail and its game over, no continues, unlike GTA. Story elements would include biblical reference, Serial killers, Norse and Greek Mythology reference, elements from certain movies, and a piece of my personal life.

I don't really have much of a story at the moment, it is something I am working on

Civilization + The Sims + Fallout 3 + Vehicles

It would be too good for humans and we would die because it's too awesome.

I have risque idea for a game that I would call Super Sex Fighter II Turbo Championship Edition Alpha.

This game would control like Street Fighter II, but all of your buttons and special moves would unleash various sexual techniques. There would also be some close range grappling that functioned more like Def Jam Vendetta, but the special moves would require more sexualized movements too, like spinning the joystick in circles or vibrating it up and down as fast as you can. Instead of health bars, there would be orgasm meters. First person to make their opponent orgasm is the winner.

Ron Jeremy could play the role of M. Bison.

Don't be a prude. You know this game would kick ass and be hella funny.

I think it's clear that the ultimate game would be Camelot Software bringing us Shining Force 4. Come on, Sega, let's see the team up!

I would agree... but alas Sega owns most the rights to the Shining series, while Camelot is not related to Sega at all anymore (they separated in 95'). I wish to God Sega would let them make a new Shining game, Sega has raped the whole franchise since Camelot got screwed with SF3

A new Shining force game would really have to be something special. When I first played the original title the game seemed like nothing else I had ever come across. Now with Final fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem, Nippon Ichi games, and spin-offs of that formula being popular, any new TRPG Shining Force would really have to strive to separate itself from those other series. Sega recently set up a webpage teaser which hints at a new Shining Force franchise entry. I'm playing the odds and maintaining a cynical attitude about this game, but who knows, it could be something special.

I had never heard of Queen of Fighters or Battle Raper before. I checked out some videos on youtube. Not my cup of tea; they are just fighting games with nudity. I am imagining a game that has fighting game mechanics, but the moves are sexual instead of violent. It's a silly idea, but I think it would be good for a laugh.

Here is my absolute best idea. I sometimes think I should drop my whole career and pursue this as an alternate path. I think it would make HUGE money and be great fun. If you read this and decide to steal it, you should give me several thousand dollars because you will start making millions.

In a nutshell, the idea is this: Arcade Gyms.

I had this idea long before Wii Fit ever came into existence. I've just always hated the gym and wanted it to be fun. I actually first came up with the idea after combining my love for Neo Geo and an old arcade game called Prop Cycle. Let me explain.

If you were good at it, Prop Cycle was actually both a fun game and a good workout. The problem was that, if you weren't good at it, you had to drop a bitchload of quarters before you got a good workout. It therefore failed as an exercise system because it was more arcade game than workout machine. Nevertheless, the game showed potential.

At the same time that Prop Cycle was in the arcades, the classic red Neo Geo machines were also in the arcades. The old Neo Geo cabinets would let you insert your memory card from your Neo Geo console to transfer your saved data from your home Neo Geo console over to the arcade world (and vice versa). I thought this was a brilliant way of bridging the gap between the home console and public arcade worlds of gaming.

Arcades are mostly dead now, but I have fond memories of the arcade experience. I loved having a designated hang out place where I could meet up with friends to play video games and challenge each other. It was also a good place to make new friends who were also into gaming. That social comradarie was something missing from playing on a home console. However, as home consoles have developed and gained internet abilities as well as graphical power and story telling power that were far superior to what was offered in an arcade cabinet, the
arcade hangouts are disappearing throughout cities and towns and generally dying out. I want to bring that arcade experience back and the way to do that is to provide an experience that people can't have at home. An arcade gym could do that.

The Wii Fit is obviously a great idea, but it's limitations are equally obvious. It makes working out at home fun, but it can only provide a limited workout with just a balance board. Nintendo can expand on this by adding peripherals, and they probably will do that, but after awhile, that is just junk collecting in your house that you don't have space for. My idea is to have entire arcade gyms where every piece of exercise equipment functions as a controller for a videogame system. Elipticals, stationary bikes, weights, treadmills, punching bags, and pretty much any other kind of exercise equipment you can think of can collect data on your speed, movement, calories burned, etc. With a few tweaks to some of these standard exercise machines, you could also build in the ability to turn (Prop Cycle did this) and that would free up your ability to move around in a virtual world. Add a few buttons to each device and you've got yourself several unique controllers.

Now, each machine will not be designed to only play one game. New software should be able to be developed for each of the exercise machines, and users will have a multitude of options for different games to play on each piece of equipment. Here's where the Neo Geo piece kicks in-- you have a memory card that you take with you from machine to machine. Your personalized stats transfer from game to game allowing you to save your progress in long playing games, keep track of your personal statistics (weight, calories burned, hours spent per week, max weight lifted, record speeds, etc.), and they will also allow you to transfer your data to a home system for any of the exercise equipment that you have bought for your home gym. The memory device should also be USB compatible (a thumb drive would be fine) so you can load your stats into a program like Excel or some other statistics software that will let you track your progress.

All of this will be networked too. You can play online with people in gyms across the country and compete with each other. Your personal data stored on your memory card will be able to match you up with people that are in similar physical shape, so that you have fair competition. This could be done for head-to-head matches, but with the ability to save, this could be used for longer massive multiplayer campaigns as well. You could take your USB memory card home and customize your avatar on a home PC with software provided as part of your gym membership. The provided software will also include a virtual personal trainer that helps you plan your gaming/workout schedule and diet to meet your goal body physique. You can have your trainer assign the appropriate difficulty levels for each game to match your physique and your desired results.

The arcade gym would not charge you to pay per play, it would be a monthly membership just like standard gyms are now. The only exception would be for new games. You would have to pay to play new games for their first 6 months of release to offset the costs of producing new software. Although, if you were to buy a premium membership at a higher cost, you would also be able to free play new games as well. The arcade gym will also provide some chill out games (standard arcade machines) that you can play as part of your membership. This will allow for traditional arcade experiences to be included as part of the larger arcade gym experience, thus helping create a community atmosphere that is not limited solely to working out. However, to avoid having people that only play the non-athletic games for hours and hog up the machines, a membership would only include a limited amount of free hours on these games.

With the ability to swap new software in and out of the exercise equipment, the options for multiple games would be only as limited as the imaginations of the game designers. It would be possible to have games that are endurance tests, strength tests, action games, head to head battles, long term role playing games, races, etc. Since users can keep track of their data on USB memory drives, they can always save and pick up where they left off later if they are tired from working out or just out of free time.

Given that the Wii Fit is one of the best selling games in history and that there is a 24 Hour Fitness or Bally's gym on just about every corner of every town in the USA; I think it is pretty clear that my idea could generate big money. Perhaps Nintendo and Bally could even work out a business partnership and get something like this off the ground. Or maybe it will just stay the pipe dream of some dude on a messageboard.
