The Last Guardian Almost Brought Me To Full On Tears.

Post by SuperDerpBro »

Bravo! Been gaming since NES and never has a game hit me in the feels, the way a movie can, like the end of The Last Guardian. I beat it last night and had a hard time sleeping after.

So, it almost brought me to tears in two ways. The story.... and the controls. Mother of gawd.. have the creators never played a game before? lol. It was like going WAY back to when developers were first trying to figure out 3D controls. lol

Loved the game. Play it. Or at the very least watch a lets play without shity commentary.

Just can never get into Team Ico titles. Ironically love the Team Ico games they inspired like Lost in Rain, Lost in Shadow, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, RiME and more and what is mentioned I really do love them and hell Lost in Rain is also from Sony. Never felt compelled to save the girl in SoTC, Just wasn't enough motive for me and yeah Ico games controls are horrible. They are poor games mechanically. Very unresponsive. More frustrating than fun. Since you did enjoy it try some of the games I mentioned at the beginning of the post. Really good stuff. Hard to choose a favorite between Lost in Rain or Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Majin is a more responsive Last Guardian about 6-7 years before TLG came out.

Had you beaten Ico or Shadow of the Colossus before TLG?

The true ending of Ico made me get a bit misty. SotC didn't do that for me though, although its ending was great too.

No, they're not. All of this is so wrong.

I love the Team Ico series, and I'm glad The Last Guardian hit you in the feels, derp. I loved Last Guardian. The story was awesome, the gameplay so-so, but the immersion really was something great. The soundtrack really helps with the mood too. I bought a PS4 to get this game, and it did not disappoint. I really hope Ico gets ported as well, so that I can have all three on one system.

Does this game have a camera and/or controls that are actually functional, or are they saving that for the forth installment?

Also, is this gonna get a Switch port?

Right after God of War and Horizon: Zero Dawn

More seriously though, the released game is not well optimized, requiring a PS4 Pro for a consistent 30fps at 1080p. So even if the publisher wasn't an issue, it probably wouldn't be an ideal candidate (though I suspect it could be converted the the Bluepoint Engine and do fine).
