Some of the WiiWare titles even had this problem (of course it was both Rebirth games I had). I had to spend an hour deleting them off of the SD card and then redownloading them to the system memory through the storefront. Crisis averted, but I can only imagine what would've happened had I waited to long to check this out!

Good catch. Were the games previously installed to the SD Card from another Wii? Perhaps also a memory issue? Sometimes when internal memory near maxed out with game saves, the Wii will not run games off the SD Card.

I have two Wii consoles with SD Cards loaded full of all the Game Demos. Each had to be installed from direct downloads on each console. I also have a few full games from the Club Nintendo Points, those games locked to the one console as well. All the Wii SD Card installed games work just fine; just on the console that initially downloaded.

Do it. I think Drakengard 3 is "for the fans only" territory, because the budget is insanely bad. I'm not kidding when I say I got the vibe it's on the same engine as Deadly Premonition's. But Yoko's quality writing and characters are still there, although get ready for tons of sex/butt jokes and stuff. I know the originals were more Dynasty Warriors flavored, but this one just has super linear levels... which I honestly really enjoyed, it felt like a modern beat em' up in ways. More God tier music from Keiichi Okabe.

Damn dude the price dropped a lot! I paid $46.99 for it on June 8, 2017! I thought it was going OOP so I scooped it up... maybe it got another print run after Nier Automata's success haha. Looks real cheap now, can't hurt to grab it.

Just be 100% FULLY prepared to never finish the final boss though, unless you can PERFECT and I mean literally FLAWLESSLY do a 10 some minute rhythm game final boss with camera angles that just fuck with you. Even with timing guides on youtube and spending a few hours on it off and on for a week or two (trust me, getting like 8 minutes in and fucking up once, that time adds up fast), I couldn't beat this bullshit. I actually got weirdly obsessed with the game until that point and was maybe going to get the platinum, but oh well.

The game is different than Yoko's others with the multiple endings gimmick, every route is new material so you're not replaying stuff. It's more linear in structure if that makes sense. The DLC is all real pricey though but I didn't touch it. Think I still got like... 20-40 hours out of this even without that stuff though, so it's a good length.

Have a taste of the OST, it's a bit more like Automata meets Keiichi's Tekken stuff at times:

Getting back into Dance Dance Revolution is kind of killing me. I'm tired and sore and I can barely beat songs I could once full-combo. I feel like the human body isn't designed for exercise...
But I will persist! I beat Sunkiss Drop on Expert (level 12) today, which I quickly failed the last time I tried it earlier this year. I'm aiming to beat level 15 songs by the end of the summer.

That sounds like me every time I pick up Pump It Up again. It's awful when you know you used to be better.

Awesome, thank you for the detailed write up. Yeah, I'm expecting it to be low budget and clunky (I hear the frame rate can reach single digits too, although not sure if this is just hyperbole). It got a mixed response just like Yoko's games tend to, but it looks interesting to me, like most of his games are. To be fair, regarding the engine, the first Nier felt like a PS2 game to me and reminded me of Deadly Premonition, so it doesn't surprise me to hear you saying similar things about Drakengard 3.

I can't do rhythm games (seriously, I can't get past the tutorial segment in Space Channel 5 2), so I guess I'll never technically beat the game, but that's ok.

I'm glad to hear you didn't touch the DLC and still found enjoyment in the game and managed to get 20-40 hours. I have been reading lots of stuff that says the DLC is basically mandatory for the story, which did concern me, as I'm only really interested in picking the game up on the cheap - I don't want to have to spend money on extras. Furthermore, I'm probably going to buy the North American physical version (it was digital only in Europe), so, although it's not too difficult to use a US PSN account to purchase DLC, it's not something I can really be bothered with.

Ha, I know the feeling! I used to be able to clear all DDR songs and up to 18+ Doubles in Pump it Up and now I struggle with middling songs

I started playing Super Metroid recently.

It is a flawless game...except for one aspect.

Wall Jumping in Super Metroid is absolutely awful.

Batman on the NES did wall jumping perfectly, so I'm surprised they didn't emulate that.

I want to get the Best Ending (less than 3 hours).

I hope I can still do that with my less than stellar wall jumping skills.

Wall jumping is completely unnecessary for getting under 3 hours.
