Got rid of my cable box today...

Post by nickfil »

my roommate is strapped for cash. Just got out of school with her masters and is looking for a job. To help curb the spending we disconnected the 80/month tv. I think the first couple of weeks will be rough, but i'm looking forward to not having it on all the time. I work at home on my computer so i watch a lot of hulu anyway.

The point of all this is- hulu covers a good amount of tv, but are there any good torrent sites for seasons of tv that you guys know of? Sometimes it is a little rough finding older stuff.

I'm on UG and Bitgamer always with a ratio well over 1. I try to be a pretty good seeder, and i donate. So you know- if you are in a good private community, i would love to be invited.

Not sure how good it is for the old stuff, but I use eztv for my fix.

I get cable tv and internet included with the rent and I dont use the tv much. Just for adult swim, and all that stuff can be watched on the official site, so its pointless. I sleep to animal planet sometimes.

House is one of the only shows I watched, and I always miss it. EZTV is a great site for torrents. They seem to have it hours after it airs. Of course, they have other shows as well. I never bothered to check which, but I assume its mostly newer stuff.

Check out TED if your on windows and TVTorrents if your on Mac. ITs a program that automatically downloads shows as they become available. Then it deletes the torrent file, puts it where you want it.

In my case.. I have it go to a specific folder that converts it to 360 specific format. HD Tivo. For Free.

Whoa. I would *love* that setup. Tvtorrents asks for an invite though. Anyone got one?
What do you use to convert files for xbox automatically?
