Re: What are you playing?
The multiple fighting styles are awesome. I love having multiple ways to approach a fight. Like I use the Beast style or Majima's breakdance style to fight large groups, but I use the Rush style of the Majima's bat style for one on one tough guys. Im not sure how its gonna feel when 6 comes out and brings me down to one style.
Re: What are you playing?
Well if they load Kiryu up with more intricate movesets, combos, and whatnot that could make up for it. Who knows though. There's already tons of intricacies in these that I tend to ignore haha, so the three styles lets you have fun changing up the basic combos and stuff. It's cool to hear that Kiwami has this combat system too, I think.
Just wrapped up Majima's business. I guess this isn't a huge spoiler but you unlock a 4th "Legend" style by finishing up the businesses. It's pretty badass because it's like his fighting style in the later games. I think it pays off and might break the game haha... but that was probably a good 10 hours of work or so. Think I'm still missing 2 Gold Hostesses. Yuki is still my #1! The businesses stories and characters are pretty comical and nothing too serious, but I was still pretty invested and loving it. I ended up using maps to locate all the buildings you can partnership with though, got a little tricky finding some of them.
Walking around with billions of yen, that shake down guy (level 3 for me now as Majima) couldn't be anymore scarier.
This OST is God tier for sure.

Terranigma is seriously one of the weirdest games (that were still great) that I have ever played. I mean the way it starts is completely different than it ends up. I really love it. I'm really glad I got to get a complete in box copy (My bosses that he had when he was a kid! He sold it to me for only £80 instead of the crazy price it goes for!)

Nice. I don't have a complete copy, but I imported it from Australia quite some time ago for $50. I modded my spare SNES just to play it! Not only that, but that's actually the third time I'd gone through: the first was in SNES9x V0.24, while toggling layers when I couldn't see, and again when ZSNES added transparencies (on the same computer, so I couldn't actually get 60 FPS).

I have humans resurrected now and have just gotten past the Gobi desert after fighting through the Mirage-Zombie town that a little girl was imagining her parents were still alive in.Xeogred wrote:Weird is Quintet's middle name.yaktaur wrote:Terranigma is seriously one of the weirdest games (that were still great) that I have ever played. I have played Illusion of Gaia, even played it when it was new and yeah that one is weird too how you're in a fantasy world but also there is the Nasca lines. Good game though!
Yeah £80 is the most I've ever payed for an old video game and I probably wouldn't have done it except for how exquisite he had kept it, plus even at £80 I could sell it someday for a lot more. Plus I loved Illusion of Gaia back in the day.Sarge wrote:Nice. I don't have a complete copy, but I imported it from Australia quite some time ago for $50. I modded my spare SNES just to play it!
