If you lose all your pokemon on a raid, can you keep fighting it? Does it cost another raid pass?
Got a 4 star raid starting soon, and based on what I've seen I'll probably be taking it on solo. I really want that Snorlax or Tyranitar if it's one of those though!

Re: Pokémon Go
You can keep going if you lose a raid battle, as long as the raid is still ongoing. The pass is good for the entire hour so you won't need to use another one.
I was just informed of a Tyranitar 4-star raid. I can't make it but some of my teammates are there now.

The 4 star raid went terribly. It was a Charizard, but there were only 2 of us and we couldn't get it below half health before we were either wiped out or ran out of time.ExedExes wrote:You can keep going if you lose a raid battle, as long as the raid is still ongoing. Looks like raid battle are useless for catching those Pokémon I'm missing. Finding enough people to take down a 29000cp Snorlax in the time limit is basically impossible.
On the plus side, I'm on 6 gyms right now, so I'll finally be able to buy an item expansion I've been working towards for over a year. Then I can get a Pokemon space expansion after that.
I got a charged TM and tried to use it to finally give me my Machamp a decent fighting move. He got Heavy Slam, so now he has 2 steel type moves >_<. At least future TMs should guarantee fighting moves now, as I nhave both of the only 2 non-fighting type moves he can have.
After that, maybe I'll try and get my Gyarados something better than Bite and Dragon Pulse. Or maybe I'll see if I can get my Porygon2 some Normal type moves.
Re: Pokémon Go
Funny you mentioned those 3. I've used TMs on them.
My original Machamp had Stone Edge as a charge move. Use TM > Heavy Slam -_-
My Gyarados had Crunch as a charge move. Use TM > Hydro Pump -_- (wanted Outrage)
My new Porygon2 I got by using some Rare Candies had Charge Beam. Use TM > Hidden Power (Fire-type version) -_- it also has Solar Beam as charge. I'll be changing that too.

My Machamp had Submission, which was OK, but I was fishing for Dynamic Punch. I got Heavy Slam.
Gyarados has Bite and Submission, and my Porygon2 has the same moveset as yours did - Charge Beam and Solarbeam.
Why did you want Outrage on Gyarados? He's not a dragon type (he's Water/Flying), so Hydro Pump is significantly more powerful surely?
Re: Pokémon Go
I stand corrected. Gamepress rates a Dragon Tail/Hydro Pump Gyarados on Defense as an A:
Hydro Pump is a high performing charge move that is incredibly effective offensively. Gyarados has the strongest Hydro Pump in the game, boasting a enormous 237 attack stat.
Oh wow! Get rid of the Bite and then I'll have an awesome attacker and defender.
I also did another 4 star raid tonight at the flagpole gym! It was a Rhydon, I had 2 Valor teammates come out and then 2 Mystics (5 of us) helped us win it. I caught it too but it didn't appraise too great. I used all my Rare Candies on my Chansey, just 2 more to a Blissey!

Re: Pokémon Go
I have enough Chancy candies to evolve and power up a bit. Unfortunately, the one Chancy I got in an egg only appraised with 'above average' scores, so I was kinda hoping to get a better one before I evolved.
Then again, considering it's HP, it might not be necessary

Re: Pokémon Go
I just got back from a Tyranitar raid!!!! We had 5 Valors and 4 Mystics. Took it down!
BUT.... didn't catch him. He's a wild one with the jumping and everything! (one of my teammates got him -- 100% perfect!!!!!!)

Continuing the raid log:
1. 4 STAR - Charizard - No catch
2. 2 STAR - Electabuzz - Catch
3. 2 STAR - Weezing - Catch
4. 2 STAR - Exeggutor - No catch
5. 1 STAR - Quilava - Catch
6. 2 STAR - Exeggutor - No catch
7. 1 STAR - Croconaw - Catch
8. 2 STAR - Weezing - Catch
9. 1 STAR - Quilava - No catch
10. 2 STAR - Electabuzz - Catch
11. 3 STAR - Machamp - Catch (w/ Dynamic Punch!)
12. 2 STAR - Muk - Catch
13. 2 STAR - Magmar - Catch
14. 4 STAR - Rhydon - Catch
15. 4 STAR - Tyranitar - No catch
16. 4 STAR - Snorlax - Catch
17. 3 STAR - Machamp - Catch
We had 9 people at the Tyranitar raid, 16 at the Snorlax raid (9 Valor, 1 Instinct, rest Mystic), and about 7 or 8 for the Machamp raid. No Tyranitar but a Snorlax, at least! Everyone has been so friendly toward each other too. We're creating an all-team text group to let each other know of major raids, but still keeping the Valor channel for us only.

Re: Pokémon Go
How on earth are you getting 9 people at these raids? I live in a city of 8 million people and I've never had more than 2 of us at one.
