Not everyone has a PC, many people prefer consoles for their ease of use and connectivity to a TV.

Connectivity to a TV is no longer an argument anyone can use against PCs. They literally hookup with the same cable. I dont think they have made a discrete GPU in the last five years that did not have HDMI out.

You're not wrong and yet I totally disagree that it's not a thing still. Many people (not us obviously) see a console as something that you easily hook up and play with no messing around and a PC as something that has a daunting amount of fiddling to get working.

I think the Xbox One has been kind of a dud. Agreed.

However, the original Xbox was very influential on PC developers (in good and bad ways). And the Xbox 360 largely reshaped and defined the console gaming environment which still persists today.

Not with that D-pad it wasn't. So you realize how shit that thing is playing Shmups? You have to use the analog stick...seriously WTF. You don't use analog for a shmup. Too easy to overshoot. A real POS playing fighting games.

EDIT: Being second place and selling 29 or 30 million units is still a lot of money for Microsoft. You don't always have to be first bro.

Xbox division was nearly shut down a couple years ago. Nadella was wanting to shut it completely down..didn't in the end and shut down the TV bit instead.

The d-pad wasn't great. But that hardly ruins the whole controller for most people. Like I said, it's the default PC gamepad for a reason.

Xbox One controller is the best controller. Check the dpad. Shmup it up.

I'm almost ashamed to say I own 5 Xbox One controllers between my console, PC and tablet.

Sorry should have taken out the "ease of use" part of your quote. No question that consoles are easier to use. But HDMI is HDMI.

It was good then but not so much anymore. Analog sticks have a sizeable dead spot. The AA batts make it heavy for it's size.
