I love both Shenmue games and I love the fact that they're both very different, because it makes complete sense in terms of the narrative.

But yeah, I'm with you there. I prefer the first game too. I just love how peaceful it is blending in a small town, getting to know a smaller group of characters, observing their routines and subtle changes in their personalities and own stories. The attention to detail was unprecedented at the time. I love how many small character moments there are that you can miss too, like the cutscenes with the cat which follow its story to recovery, or the moments with Nozomi, or there's the stuff with Fuku-San's friends from the bar visiting etc.

Well the multiplayer mode is on PC, so its possible. I would happily buy a more fleshed out version of Devil's Third, since I found the game to be surprisingly good.
Holy shit dunpeal what's up man hope all is well!

Crash team Racing is mediocre at best.

The only good 3D Mario Kart clone are the SEGA Racing ones from Sumo. Transformed is my favorite but will admit Mario Kart 8 is easily the best in the genre. Only took SEGA 3-4 attempts to get there tho. Sonic R,Sonic Drift and that mode in Sonic Adventure 2. Maybe missing a couple but still.

Konami Krazy Racers is pretty decent as far as 2D clones go.

As a huge Mario Kart fan, I never quite understood the huge hype surrounding Crash Team Racing. It's a decent Mario Kart clone, but isn't anywhere near close to matching the quality of the source material.

You should try Street Racers for the SNES sometime. It's not as good as Mario Kart, but it adds in a few other mechanics such as close combat to make things interesting. I enjoyed it. It's certainly better than the Power Rangers Mario Kart wanna on the same console.

Power Drift puts Mario Kart to shame.

Have you not played local multiplayer with nothing but rockets, turbo and orbs!?

Mario Kart SNES- just nostalgia
Mario Kart Double Dash- is boss
That's about all I can say besides Sonic All Stars/Transformed mercs them all, Ben 10 Racing is not to shabby either. I'm hoping Crash Trilogy does well so we can get CTR remake.

@dunpeal sup brother all is thanks, guessing you still got that swagger :)

Every single game developed for the GBA would have been 10x better on the Genesis/SNES. Even the GB produces better sound.
