Yes it plays very much like Assault Suits Valken and the like, but there's more depth (various RPG aspects) and it's a lot longer than a Leynos game.dunpeal2064 wrote:Looks more akin to the Leynos games, which I am definitely into. I'll have to give it a try!
As it says in the ending text on Normal, Hard difficulty really is the greatest Contra 3 challenge. It's the only way I play it anymore. Good luck with that!dunpeal2064 wrote:Just finished up Contra 3 on Normal. I've heard the Hard difficulty is actually really good, and far more than the average "boost hp/fire more" affair, so I plan to look into that next.

Cotton 100% is sweet. I've mostly been messing around with US hardware right now, but its definitely a lovely game I'm always happy to jump in on. Cotton Boomerang and Cotton 2 on the Saturn are very fun too!Xeogred wrote: Just because I beat it yesterday and if you're doing emulation, if you want a cool easy cute em' up you should hit up Marchen Adventure Cotton 100%! I loved the graphics.
