I agree. I would prefer the Switch to be the last home console ever, but I don't like the idea of a phone-based mobile gaming future.

I don't game on my phone. I use an Nvidia Shield tablet. The one the Switch is based on.

I wouldn't necessarily mind if consoles just morphed into PCs and virtually everything was available there.

Give me that and gaming-oriented handheld devices and that's pretty much all I need.

Shooting games makes me think of light-gun stuff, for whatever reason.

I'm not totally enamored with "shmup", but I get it. Shooter is no longer sufficient.

Unless there is some breakthrough in battery technology, I would say no.

I game a little on my iphone 6. It's a battery-draining experience for a device that is, in theory, supposed to be in my pocket (and powered on) all day for communication purposes.
