Bone is dead on about the behavior of the beast, it's just like the one from Out of this World / Another World.

Prfsnl_gmer is very close about the look of the beast. The first time I saw it I also thought "displacer beast". Although the protusions are horns not tentacles, or at least I think they are. I haven't been able to stay alive close enough to the murderous thing long enough to really find out.

After swallowing my pride and choosing the hero dificulty on ninja gaiden 3 im having way more fun fighting the bosses. Im starting to think that hard actions games like these are not my fit at all.

Hero Mode is easier than the normal difficulty. Auto-dodge/block.

Well, it doesn't always do it. I'm sure there's some arcane rule for when it triggers and when it doesn't.

I started Pikmin on the Nintendo GameCube this evening.

I am not a big fan of RTS games, though I did play the hell out of the original Warcraft back in the day.

But, hot dang, Pikmin was some fun stuff. I only did the tutorial level, so I am assuming it gets much harder later on, but I was really enjoying myself. The Pikmin are adorable. Captain Olimar is fantastic and it felt very easy to get into.

I'm scared about the persistent time limit throughout the game, but I've also heard it is not that big of a deal. I mean, as long as you can keep track and get one part per day, then you should be fine.

It's felt like forever since I've played a really good game. I really hope Pikmin is that for me.

Started Steep and I have to say while the game is gorgeous the challenges feel so similar that I've almost lost interest. The game could also use a better introduction to the menu system as well it's kind of confusing.

Played a bit more DK64 again this morning. Maybe just becuase it's something to do, but it's grown on me a bit, and I think I'll keep on it for now. Granted, my original goal in picking it back up was to finally 100% it. While I almost certainly won't do that madness, I'm still enjoying myself so far :P
