FFS. I've found about 5 moblins now, defeated them and not one has dropped "moblin guts".

What the hell am I supposed to do to get their guts? Or is it just random? I seem to be inundated with "guts" from other creatures. But not moblins :(

I killed one on a bridge heading to Zora's Domain (he tries to sneak up on you while you're talking to someone else), and he gave it up. I think it's kinda random.

Stuff like that can probably be used on armor upgrades w/the great fairies in the game -- OR you can use them for good cash. I think the guts are one of the higher paid body parts.

Maybe try the higher color moblins. I feel like they drop better and more rare parts.

Is it just me or do weapons break way too fast?

It's really my only complaint about the game so far. Sure, you can always pick up more from enemies/chests, but that just makes it seem kinda pointless for them to break as fast as they do.

Personally, I think Minecraft strikes a good balance on item durability/breaking.

Otherwise, I'm having a blast. I just made it to Kakariko village and spoke to Impa. And tamed my first horse shortly before that.

Weapon durability is based off of weapon composition. A metal weapon lasts more than a wood which lasts more than a bone. Get Korok seeds and expand your inventory and it will be even less of an issue. At no point have I gone into a fight and been screwed because I always carried more than one weapon. I knew not to waste my good weapons on trash mobs and fought smart, not hard. You can easily take down a group of blue or even black bokoblins with using your environment. Start fires. Use your bombs wisely and use big heavy weapons when near cliff sides to knock them far down.

This is where I say that having previous zelda experience can be a detriment for some. If you approach this like a traditional zelda game you will come across a lot more difficulty.

It's pretty random. Guts seem to be a rarer drop from both Moblins and Bokoblins. Lizalfos always drop their tails. Guts are also droppable from Lynels, and that's also their rare drop.

Regarding weapon breakage in general, I think it's not necessarily a matter of not being able to do things so much as whether or not someone actually finds that aspect of the game to be enjoyable. Personally, I don't, not to the degree that it happens early on at least. The degree that it seems necessary to stop and cook also extends past the point that doing so is actually fun, at least to me.

I've reached the point where I mostly just cook for health recovery; I have armor sets for the various other effects.

The weapon breakage is definitely faster than I'd like. It's not a deal-breaker, but it is the element that I'm probably the least pleased with, because it makes me manage weapons a lot more than I'd prefer.

The cooking actually bothers me a lot less than I was expecting. Especially since you can cook stuff to sell for good amounts of money. Which, of course, is pretty important given the sparseness of getting rupees directly.
