I'd happily play it over the likes of Street Combat or Brutal: Paws of Fury any time.

This game's pretty sweet if you can get a handle on the awkward controls though the levels aren't very varied. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. There aren't a lot of beat'em ups that let you literally rip your opponents apart.

Damn you. Me and my siblings loved Paws Of Fury on PC. Last time i played it was probably 17-20 years ago but guess i can go another 20 years without it.

Hey, I can't say anything about the PC release, just that the SNES port is problematic at best.

Best version is on Sega CD...

unpopular opinion, One Must Fall 2097 is the BEST 90s fighting game of all time and it was on PC!! Awesome graphics, cheesy anime story, awesome career mode... the whole package.

Not unpopular. I logged a lot of time into this, maybe even more than Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter II on the SNES. It was also the first game I played over a modem. The moves, arenas, customization options, music, awesome. Also it's totally free to play now.

It really was awesome. I remember playing the demo and going gaga over it. My mind reeled at the idea of what the other robots played like and looked at all the character profiles and built the world up in my head.

I am the kind of guy that loves fighting game stories and think they are the best/worst. I always have to beat the game with every character to see all the endings. I am a dork.

It's the fighting game of that era I put the most time in for sure. I love the soundtrack, I love the light RPG elements, the simple-yet-responsive control scheme... there's just so much to like there.
