Crown of bone shrine was really cool one. I enjoyed that shrine. I can't wait to find other neat ones. I need to solve the one with the glowing statue that's at the old fort.
I really just enjoy how multidimensional this game is. Each battle can be strategized in multiple ways. The cooking offers so many options. Puzzles are all different and have multiple solutions. The development team really deserves a lot of credit for the depth in this game. Easily going to be my GOTY.
Dave, how's Horizon still? We miss you bud, come hop back on this bandwagon with us!

What's that junk rumor online about 120 shrines? The only thing I've seen you may need a number that high are the exponential need for korok seeds to grow your inventory of gear.
I cleared the Faron tower and the Lake one as well, need just 3 more (overly icy, hot desert, and the west/lower half small space too and that's it.
Did a few more shrines and seeds, got my champion gear and leveled it and everything but the headband thing I have for better climbing as I was one rushroom short.
Not really sure what to do next to be honest other than the one tower I can get at. Beyond that it's like I'm not certain what to do other than shrine hunt or jump back into the story and deal with the rampaging elephant dungeon. Those other two areas I'm dead within moments as the northern my warm clothes can't compensate for (ugh) and the desert in the southwest will light you up like going too near the level in Eldin.

120 Shrines, 900 Korok Seeds. The grapevine says you only need 450ish to cap your inventory space. Elemental chu chus are for upgrading certain gear. Got the Master Sword and did my first Divine Beast.

I did the Ruta Divine Beast last night. Still two or three heart containers short of being able to get the Master Sword, but if I can ever find the damn respec statue, I might juggle some stamina upgrades over to hearts for the sake of getting up to 13 and getting the Master Sword.

Do you just need X heart containers for the Master Sword? Is the Master Sword unbreakable/upgradable or anything?

It's unbreakable, but you need 13 hearts to get it. Not sure if it's upgradeable or anything.Xeogred wrote:Do you just need X heart containers for the Master Sword? Is the Master Sword unbreakable/upgradable or anything?

Got a few more heart containers last night and am now down to 3x Sheikah Towers left to open. Found two more memories completely by chance aswell as two of the Great Fairies. But when wrapping up the night I ended up in a Major Trail of Strength. I had my lighting sword and a half a dozen 20 damage weapons, I figured I would give it a go and if I lost Id just be out of time no big deal.
5 minutes later its down to a sliver of life and keeps shooting at me, my buffs are gone, I am down to the sledge hammer and a woodcutter axe, and I am out of standard and fire arrows. I worked my way toward him to hit him with an ice arrow and run it with my sledgehammer. But I paused and noticed I still had three bomb arrows. Boom, Major shrine completed. Now to hold onto that gear for the next Major shrine - 60 damage axe. And the guardian dropped the last part I needed to upgrade bombs.

I don't believe its upgradable. It has a quasi durability system; when you're fighting with it normally it's a 30 damage sword that runs out of energy at about the same rate as another weapon will last. At that point it can't be used for 10 minutes while it recharges. But in certain circumstances (such as inside a Divine Beast) it glows and doubles to 60 damage, and also won't run out of energy.ElkinFencer10 wrote:It's unbreakable, but you need 13 hearts to get it. Oh, hi. I haven't been posting much in the evenings here. I wonder why that is...
Zelda is great. All the changes worried me, and apparently I was worried for no good reason. Nintendo has pulled it off.
(That said, the Super Monkey Ball puzzle I did last night was way more finicky than I'd prefer. I think it's mostly due to the viewpoint, making it hard to tell how much you're tilted to the front or back.)
