Lucky Egg + Incense + Lures all over =

Teddiursa x 4
Dunsparce
Spinarak x 2
Ariados
Sunkern x 3
Hoothoot x 2 (They also become Ditto!)
Stantler x 2
Natu x 2
Hoppip
Ledyba
Heracross (2122 CP & Counter/Close Combat)
Espeon (evolved from "Sakura", 2453 CP & Confusion/Psychic)
Sentret (this generation's Pidgey)
Furret (got enough Sentret to evolve one!)

Not bad so far. Although I saw a Bayleef and it ran away!

I got to the mall. There was a solid supply of things to pick up which I really missed for so long now.

Very disgruntled over being burned by both Chikorita and Totodile. Both showed up once, both ran their ass off after the first ball. >:\

Early on I got a 1064CP Arlados which was nice. Evolved (then also found) a Furret which given how it looks they weren't even trying to name that one and it has quick attack and hyperbeam. An egg popped with a wicked voltorb, finally able to erase that D grade turd I was holding onto for evolution sake.

I'm not going into totals as I don't remember, but got these down.
Arlados
Furret
Ledyba
Murkrow
Hoothoot
Sudowoodo
Spinarak
Wooper
Teddiursa
Sentret
Natu

I think that's it. Not bad for a little over an hours worth of walking in a mall.

Ended today with a Yanma. It has Ancient Power, so that technically means it's eligible for evolution as a Yanmega if I can keep it when Gen 4 rolls out in a few years

A few more observations from today (from Silph Road)

New catch bonus

You get a 50XP bonus if you catch a pokemon in only one throw. Completely missing the pokemon with your first ball still counts as a throw, so no bonus in that case.

Critical catch

Critical catches have been implemented. You know it's a critical catch when the ball immediately drops on the ground after hitting the pokemon and has 4 rays of light leaving upwards in a zig zag motion.

New pokemon movement on catch screen

Pokemon move in new ways during the catch sequence. Ledyba will move in a "V" motion, while Qwilfish will move sideways form left to right, with their catch circles following them. Other users in this same thread also report new movements for gen 1 pokemon like Venonat or Abra.

Berries

You can only use 1 berry at a time on a pokemon. So no, you can't use a razz + a nanab on a pokemon. The active berry is used as an icon on the pokemon. Once the icon disappear, on a failed catch attempt, you can use an another berry.

I did not know this. I will have to wait as long as it does (which I've had horrible luck for a couple months now not having 1) to get an amazing 600CP or nicer eevee to be worth that effort. Until then random is fine. I've got like 500 candies because anything I pick up is trash.

I did get the evolved teddy today, they evolved ledyba as well and a few others I hadn't seen but I don't have my phone on to figure out what. I think I have added +5-6 to the list and one was this weird light blue fish with a horn. Sadly anything I got today the best was proud.

Have they messed with the pickups so only amazings come up maybe 1 every 100 catches or in eggs? It's starting to aggravate me.

I took advantage of the final day of extended lures and got a few more.

All 3 starters (Chikorita, Totodile & Cyndaquil)
Snubbull
Wooper
Swinub
Slugma

and an Elekid from a 10km egg. 4/5 of the original "tiny" Gen 2's now. Missing Togepi.

Also now, Pokémon storage is only 100 coins, on sale. I bumped mine up to 500 now. That should hopefully be enough.

There aren't 5 'tiny gen 2s' though, there are 7 - Pichu, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Magby, Elekid, Smoochum and Togepi.

Hearing some rumours that a few gen 2 mons are unavailable still, such as Unown, Delibird and Smeargle. Is there a list anywhere.

Are there any region exclusives in the gen 2 mons?

Yeah, I'm missing Magby too.

The word on Smeargle is that it's probably going to be reserved for an event, much like Ditto. He wasn't found in the latest game data, neither was his signature move, Sketch. Ditto wasn't in the game data until he was ready to be revealed either. It's also been said that Delibird hasn't appeared in the data.

Also no definitive word on region exclusives yet. There's been names thrown out like Dunsparce or Girafarig, but I just got a Dunsparce the other day and it's been seen around the world.

It appears so far that you get a better chance at an evolution item on your 7 day stop streak; I got a Dragon Scale from my streak today.

I got 3 Girafarigs at a nest. The other region exclusives don't seem to appear at nests, so I'm assuming Girafarig isn't one.

I got a Metal Coat and an Upgrade on the same random spin of a pokéstop the day the update launched. It wasn't my first spin of the day or anything. I haven't had any of the evolution items since though.

Added Aipom to my caught list this morning

A pair of new catches today - Caught 2 Misdreavus and a Chikorita. Saw the shadow of a Teddiursa too, but I was at work and it wasn't nearby so I had to let that one go for now.

I'm liking having a bunch of new stuff to catch, the game is a bit more interesting again.

I almost wish they would throw out gen 3 aswell just to keep me busy for longer.
