Take Jaws, put it on land, use a bear instead of a shark. It is the epitome of a me too film, even using similar dialogue in scenes shot the same way. But it does have some of the best trained bear scenes Ive seen in a film.

Sadly the sequel, which starts George Clooney and Charlie Sheen was shot but not released.

We used to have a $1 theater in town that I loved. Concessions were also really cheap and fresh for $6 you could get a large popcorn and drink. Of course they were bought out and converted into a church same as our comedy club  . Now you have the choice of Cinemark or Cinemark and only one of them has $5 Tuesdays, and don't even bother looking at the concessions it's seriously $16+ for a medium popcorn and large coke :x . Plus they changed the rules on the refillable cup and popcorn tub that you can buy annually it's now I think $20 to buy those and another $7-$8 to refill both of those per visit which is still fucking ridiculously high especially since they shrunk the popcorn tub to half the size of a small bag :P.

We use to have only one movie theater near me that was built in the 70s and their decor is stuck in the 90s. Which is awesome in some ways, like when we went to go see Captain America 3 it was just like when I went to go see Xmen 1. They sell gift certificates that are good for 2 tickets, 2 large drinks (40oz), a large popcorn, and a box of candy. And on Black Friday they sell five packs of them for $50. However last year they changed the rules on them and now you cannot use them on any new release the first three weeks. So now we just go to the Carmike that opened around the corner from us for a $10 matinees.

I would gladly just wait to see the films, but when we saw Cappy 3 in one of the small side theaters*, I roughly measured the screen (paced it out), and it was only 32ftx18ft - which is in the realm of possibility for having at our farm. Well that and my wife's friends are very bad about spoiling movies on Facebook.

*The main theaters are industry standard for 3d. So 50ftx38ft.

I was focused on the picture for a good few seconds, taking it in, smiled, thought it was cute.

Then scrolled down another inch and saw your review.

I knew that was going to be the review from the get go, because it's not a movie about cats.

I have dogs and have always had dogs, and love them very much. This movie however was a cloying piece of trash full of mock sentimentality designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

(I also have cats, and have always had cats, and love them very much.)

Tell me more about your cats. What kinds of coats? Lap cats or more standoffish? Most adorable thing they've ever done?

Okay
I've got two cats. One prefers to be indoors. The other outdoors.

The indoor cat is a female tabico named Meip (I did not name her that), who thinks she is a princess and does whatever she wants (punishment does nothing). She is about three years old and still very playful. She likes to lay on top of my wife or myself whenever she gets the chance. She's also a food demon and if any type of food is left out she will find a way to get into it (plastic bags have no chance). Since we moved to this new house, she likes to lay on the ledge of the sun window above the Jacuzzi in the master bathroom. We put a cat bed there for her for that purpose. She also strongly prefers all doors in the house to be open at all times and has a shit fit if you start closing doors. She was a rescue my wife got from one of her vet clinic jobs, as a kitten (bottle fed). I asked to keep her because she was born with feline herpes (causes problems with her eyes) and she would have been put to sleep, as an average adopter wouldn't have wanted to pay for her expensive meds for the rest of her life. I think she's worth the investment. She's really gotten attached to me since I started working from home, and I've also gotten a lot better at understanding her talking (she's a very vocal spoiled princess).

The outdoor cat is named Scrappy. I named him that, because where we used to live, he constantly got in fights with other tomcats (despite the fact Scrappy is neutered). Scrappy is an orange tabby, about eight years old now. He just showed up on my back porch one day (right around the time my wife and I started dating, but I was living alone then). When he showed up he was still a juvenile but not a kitten. Scrappy refused to leave, and just took up residence on my back porch, so I started feeding and taking care of him. (He refuses to use litter boxes and much prefers to live outside.) Since we've moved, he doesn't get in fights anymore, because I guess there aren't any tomcats in the woods around our house. He tends to hang out now on the covered back porch, but sometimes he comes inside and sleeps in one particular recliner (he only likes that one). He's gained a lot of weight since we moved here, as he's discovered a free feed cat bowl in a nearby horse barn which a neighbor leaves out for her barn cats. We feed him diet food but he's turned into a butterball. He isn't much into laying on top of us. However, when we walk the dogs, he likes to follow us until we turn around, and then wants to be carried a mile or so back to the house. He loves this, but weighing about 15lbs, he gets heavy after a while.

Meip = Loves boxes. Give her a cardboard box and she turns into stealth attack box cat.

Scrappy = Drools when he's really enjoying being petted. Maybe not adorable but funny in a quirky way.

Neither cat is standoffish, they are fine with visitors.
