I'm just saying, it's not worth reading through the entirety of your posts CRT, and figuring out what on earth it is that you're saying. And from that, what is worth my mental energy on actually figuring out if there's common ground to explore, or if everything is just suspended in an alternate reality. That's where I'm coming from.

And the not my president piece, I think you should really give some listening to. If someone is so vehemently not representing you or your basic needs, are they truly your president? De Facto yes since he was elected. But that's at the heart of the argument -- Trump has hardly embraced anyone's opinion other than his own narcissistic, selfish desires. For me, after seeing some speakers last night and some additional research and documentaries, I see why the Black Community is both fearful of Trump (having declared himself the Law and Order candidate) while disdainful of Clinton. 13th is a great documentary and you should all watch it. It's not hard for me to see how they feel Trump is a compelling president that's going to be supportive of the Black community. Dare I say they may not call him their president. Seems to me that he'll have to treat them well to earn that recognition. Sorry not sorry. And +1 to what Marurun said.

Don't entirely agree with you, but I can see why you'd think that. They are protesting the presidential-level legitimization of lying, sexism, racism, and xenophobia that have been hallmarks of Trump's campaign rhetoric and subsequent communication with the media and the rest of the world. It's not that they don't want to acknowledge Clinton lost, it's that they want to protest some of the worst of the views espoused by the one who won.

Then maybe they ought to be smarter about it than trying to repurpose the rhetoric of angry ignorance.

And Trump has put the gag on the EPA and other science research divisions within the Federal government. This is the antithesis of responsible governance. Fortunately, the FOIA still exists. I hope journalists and other interested parties make heavy use of it in light of Trump's determination to silence any information that doesn't come directly from him. And given his record on dealing with facts... well, it'll be a fun ride trying to determine what's going on.

I don't think that this is a valid response. TSTR made a valid point regarding a group's methods, and the fact that some people in the group belong to minority communities does not place their methods above criticism. Likewise, the fact that the person making a critique is a white male does not make his criticism invalid.

Gonna side with all of you guys. There are crazy loud and thoughtlessly aggressive people on both sides. we do get caught up more on proving a person wrong than by showing compassion and where our side is coming from
