So what have you guys been watching lately?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Incorporated is the only show I have been keeping up with. Very well done, highly recommended.

Started watching the new Series of Unfortunate Events show on Netflix and I have to say it kind of sucks. I mean there are some great actors there but wow does the script kind of blow pacing just seems insanely slow and while intentional the stiff acting goes a little over the top at times.

Catching up on Brooklyn Nine-Nine during dinner. This show gets funnier and funnier.

it's funny - we have specific shows for specific times.

Dinner: right now it's Curb Your Enthusiasm, but we're on the last season. We were doing Batman TAS for a while, so maybe go back to that when Curb is over. If we have to eat a bit later I'm ALWAYS glad to watch Jeopardy. I've always loved Jeopardy.

Friday Night: is binge night. We plowed through ten seasons of 90210 in two years. We're in the middle of season 2 of Dawson's Creek now. We were juggling some others for a while (Buffy, Gotham, Gilmore Girls...) but are pretty set on Dawson's right now. I miss Buffy though.

Stuff I Watch Alone: This would be stuff that I watch when I'm too tired to game or read comics or whatever during the week. I have one episode of Luke Cage left. Oops. Still working on Supergirl. And I throw in an episode of Arrow, Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow sometimes.

Stuff I Listen To Alone: this is stuff that I've seen a million times, so I can put it on when I'm playing a game on my tablet or reorganizing stuff in my room or whatever and can only half-pay-attention but still enjoy. Like, I've seen The Office in its entirety a million times. I just actually finished up the last season w/ Michael Scott again, so I've switched to Cheers as my tablet-playing show now. Midway through season 1.

I've been watching through that series recently as well, mostly while eating.

Fragems wrote:Also finished the Spartacus Showtime series which is also available on Netflix in it's entirety. The first season is great with tons of action, and a really solid cast of actors. Sadly the lead actor Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with cancer after the first season though. They delayed the second season and did a prequel which was pretty solid. However Whitfield ended up having a relapse after being cleared and later died  . Really didn't care much for his replacement Liam McIntyre I mean he did a good job but Whitfield really had the role down perfectly so it was a hard act to follow. The writing also kind of went down hill with seasons 3 and 4 plus they swapped some other actors around :(. Still worth watching if your into stuff like 300 though.
Couldn't agree more with you Fragems. These are my exact thoughts regarding Spartacus.

Funny you guys are talking about that show, my wife and I have been watching the first season (Blood and Sand) for the past two weeks. I didn't know the lead actor died of cancer, that sucks.

As far as being brutal, yeah it is. It's like the show's creators said, "Hey Rome was good, so what if we ripped it off, but amped up the sex and violence ludicrously, while dumbing the plot down considerably.... think it'd work?" Yeah so you see sex with naked breasts and man butt constantly, full frontal nudity for females quite often, perhaps more penises than you'd prefer. The violence is almost comical at times with its extremes, a bit like Mortal Kombat really. Despite all of that, the show's above average acting and simple plot can at times provide decent entertainment. The gladiatorial battles are always fun to watch. I'd rate it a 7/10, not bad all things considered.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Yeah it's one of those shows that serves a up sex/violence in pretty heavy doses each episode  . They like to make it rain blood and there isn't much censoring going on in the sex department so definitely not a show for the kiddies.
