My brother and I found that same thing during the middle of the first season. "Again, Another?" it was all worth it - Xena?!?. We were definitely looking forward to the next season. Glad to hear it's better. We were watching some interviews with Bruce about the whole AOD licence and after seeing it got approved for use we got really stoked (or really drunk whatever).
We're falling behind in the new season.

I'm not sure how much freedom they actually have in using the AOD license, but Ash does mention travelling to the middle ages at one point in season 2. So I guess at the very least, he can vaguely mention stuff from AOD.

Season 2 is pretty great...but that finale has gotten mixed reactions.

Rick and Morty

Did not expect it to be Clerks Animated meets Back to the Future. Highly recommend if you enjoy over the top adventures that are used to setup black comedy moments. The Season 2 finale is not as good as Mr. Robots, but man it was powerful.

One of my friends got a huge kick out of the Turbo Teen reference in that episode. Mostly, I think, because it meant someone besides him remembered Turbo Teen.

The Turbo Teen part was awesome. Though my favorite one off was in Total Rickall when Rick wants to buy Zelda DS's and leans back in to say "Nintendo give me stuff"

Heh, that was pretty great.

If you haven't watched Regular Show, it does pretty great reference stuff on occasion as well, while keeping things all ages.
