ooh thx bb. This is perfect. IDW has been pretty vague about their exact release dates. I need to keep up on TMNT Universe. :)

EDIT: HOLY SHIT, there's a Night Trap graphic novel!

picked up - and started reading - Scarlet Witch #1, X-Men 92 #1 and Deadpool Too Soon #1. All of which are pretty great in their own way.

BTW, I went with magazine holders which works nicely as I can keep single issues neatly stored on the same shelf as my trade ppbks. Thanks for the suggestion, Jim.

Hey so I was thinking about this last night... Batman has done crossovers with the Aliens franchise, and the Ninja Turtles. So in some crazy way the Aliens universe and TMNT universe are now overlapped. Plus I guess Archie exists in all this too, thanks to Predator.

Anyway, talk to me guys! The 3rd issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe is out today, so I'll be picking that up this week. The first two issues were awesome.

Have any of you read any of the X-Men 92 stuff? That's the title: "X-Men 92," with a run published in 2015 and now a new one in 2016. I've been reading the 2016 series and it is so great. How much do I need to sell you on the concept? It is X-Men... in the 90's. The first 5 issues are being compiled into a book (awesomely titled "The World Is A Vampire") this week or next or something if anyone's interested in jumping in.

Oh, and sort of related: I've watched the Logan trailer a lot of times now.

triple-post, but I guess that's just how I roll.

I've also started reading Extraordinary X-Men. My wife had found issues 2-6 for me at a thrift shop recently, so I went ahead and ordered issue #1 online (after hitting up a couple comic stores, and accidentally bringing home Annual #1 instead  ).

This is good stuff! I guess it's not completely shocking that I'm reading TWO X-Men comics now, since they were such a huge part of my childhood. Magik is awesome in this one. And the ending brings in Logan.

So right now the current series I'm pretty actively reading are Extraordinary X-Men, Jessica Jones, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe, and X-Men 92. I haven't decided if I'll stick with Scarlet Witch or not. I'll probably pass on Deadpool Too Soon for now.

I read Chrononauts recently.

Fun time-traveling adventures of two geniuses with no common sense whatsoever. This one is written by Mark Milar, one of my favorite writers today.

I'm happy to be able to help you out Brad.

I scored at 1/2 Price Books recently. For a quarter each I found...
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge (Viz Comics) 2, 4-6
Capcom Summer Special 2004 (Wizard World Exclusive)
Darkstalkers (Udon Comics) 1-6
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors (Udon Comics) 1-3
and three random X-Files comics

I got almost every Darkstalkers comic for $3.50! I'm very happy with that.

Currently reading - I recently read the X-Men/Avengers: Onslaught Omnibus and I'm finishing up the X-Statix Omnibus. The first one started ok but got progressively worse as I went. I remember why I got out of the mutants shortly thereafter. As for X-Statix I've attempted to read it a couple times before and never got very far. This time I really dug in and enjoyed it though I really thought it sputtered out at the end with the Avengers crossover and I hated that last issue. I've got a couple of Dead Girl issues to go.

awesome!

I actually have the Ultimate Darkstalkers collection. I'm not entirely sure what's covered in that. I've only ready a couple issues from it actually.

Friday has become my weekly comic store routine. This past weekend I picked up:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe #3 - which just came out this week. I love this series. The art is fantastic and the tone is very dark.

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 Director's Cut - I've been planning to read the first volume, but still grabbed this re-issue of #1 because it's a really cool version that's made up of early art and is notated. Kind of neat collectible.

Unfortunately, they were out of #3 of X-Men 92, so I hit up another comic shop w/ my wife on Saturday and ended up getting:

X-Men 92 #3 - This and TMNTU are probably my favorite series right now. I'm really enjoying the vampire stuff that's come into it now.

Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary Special #1 - another one that seemed like a neat collectible to me so I grabbed it on impulse.

1. Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe
2. Fantastic Four Season One
3. Batman The Long Halloween
4. The Amazing Spider-Man "Spider-Man No More!"
5. The Batman Adventures Mad Love
6. Hulk Season One
7. Batman The Killing Joke
8. Fantastic Four Lost Adventures
9. Harley Quinn's Greatest Hits
10. Spider-Man Vs. Dracula
11. Extraordinary X-Men Vol. 1: X-Haven

Issues 1-5 of Extraordinary X-Men was pretty damn great. I'm really enjoying this series, and glad my wife found these for me at a thrift shop. The premise is that a mist has been spread that sterilizes mutants. Although the X-Men have disbanded after Cyclop's death, Storm brings them back together in the X-Haven which is a sanctuary for mutants. These five issues are mostly about getting everyone together again - including Iceman, Nightcrawler, Magik, Colossus, Jean Grey and Old Man Logan. I'm planning to continue on with the series.

Cool. I have almost always enjoyed the X books but I haven't enjoyed a new Marvel book in many years, essentially since Bendis took over. I might have to change that at some point though to read something by Hickman or Lemire.
