I just watched a review of Mighty Final Fight and this is the first time I've ever actually seen it in action. I didn't even know about the chibi style and all. This whole time I figured it was just a weird demake of the original arcade/SNES game... but it's not and... it looks better than the other games? Plus the Mega Man styled music, wow. I need to hit this up.

Yes, on Capcom Classics Mini Mix. MUCH more affordable than the original NES game, plus you get the NES ports of Bionic Commando and Strider.

Ugh the remaining classic arcade games on the Sega Genesis Collection are unlockables that require I first play a trio of my least favorite Sega games. My hatred for this "unlockables" concept grows by the day I tell ya.

If one of them is the one you unlock for playing Super Thunder Blade, you can cheese that one super easily. Just set the difficulty to Hard, fly into the top left corner and hold up and left and shoot endlessly. Nothing should be able to hit you except for the midboss, who isn't too difficult if you just fly in circles. You'll probably hit the point total you need (1,000,000 iirc) about the time the first stage switches to the top down viewpoint.

I don't know why retro compilations ever choose to do this. You're obviously buying it out of nostalgic love, or at least interest, of the games. There's no need for a mechanic designed to falsely extend play time when you're buying a compilation of old games you already want to spend some time with. It's so senseless.

That's such a great collection as well, marred by one stupid choice. I remember everything not being too hard to unlock but that's besides the point.

Same here; the Pinball collections table unlocks. :?

Which version Genesis Collection? The PS2 has an unlock of the Arcade Cab TAC SCAN, a very good Vector game.

I think they're talking about Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, which includes some SMS and Arcade games as well as unlockables.
