I get where you are coming from with that. But it's a slippery slope that leads to a quagmire of exceptions. On my PS3 shelf it's Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Demon's Souls. Das alphabet ist der herr!

I just do rough alphabetical as habit from retail back in the day, so first letter only.

...if I have enough games for the platform to warrant it. For something like Xbox One, I don't bother yet.

Had Demon's Souls and Dark Souls had dramatically different names I probably would have done them strictly alphabetically. But I do group LoZ and Z2 one after the other. I used to have Z2 at the end of my NES grouping and seeing that gold cover at the end with another gold cover in the middle and I knew they were sequels drove me insane.

You have the "red label" PS3 games mixed in with the "black label" and "blue label" PS3 games. Yuck! (Just kidding, that is a fine way to organize them!)

Haha, yeah, I've always grouped Zelda and Zelda II as well. But I don't do that with StarTropics and Zoda's Revenge, for whatever reason.

Consistency, thy name is not Sarge.

Also, I only own Demon's and Dark Souls, but they're both on different systems, so I have no conundrum there! :)

autobiographical?
The link didn't work for me, but I assume it is the scene from High Fidelity. I remember that scene well because I am jealous of his autobiographical organization. I can't remember enough of my history to accurately order every purchase in a personal timeline like that. My order is basically sorted by console first, then loose genre, and then nebulous personal feeling states within genre. The last order is the one that makes sense to no one, and they are often lost at the genre classifications too, especially in music where I can divide in micro-subgenres. My wife hates my CD shelf because she can't find anything she is looking for, but I can jump right to it.

If anyone's interested in HD Retrovision's Genesis component cables, I just posted my thoughts on them.

I got to the part where you were going to try it on the Neo Geo and cringed, because that was something called out during the Kickstarter updates as will not work and might damage the cable pins. The short answer is that the full pinout of the Neo Geo isn't identical to the pinout of the Genesis.

There's a good diagram that explains it there. You can see that pins 6 and 7 do not line up between the two systems. My guess is that those two are missing for the composite connection.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't about to try to force it in. I gave up pretty quickly, figuring it was something like that.
