The "grind wall" is for people who utterly ignore the various side dungeons you unlock.

I've been playing pretty regularly since I finished the DLC for Witcher 3. The game is an action platformer with exploration and collection elements. You have a lot of aerial maneuverability which flows really well into the platforming. The combat is the weakest part of the game; is competent but it ends up feeling tedious at times. Boss fights end up just being a normal fight against a harder enemy, rather than the interesting fights of Metroid Prime. The main story consists of a handful of dungeons with some overworld exploration in between. However, there are also a bunch of side dungeons which fall into three categories. Arenas are a fight against waves of enemies. Adventure dungeons are about exploring a dungeon, unlocking some doors, and are basically smaller versions of the main quest dungeons. Traversal dungeons are platforming challenges in the vein of Mario Sunshine's FLUDD-less levels. All three side dungeon types have a treasure at the end, and then you can unlock four other treasures by completing side objectives. There are always three; beat it under time, find a key, and hit eight switches. Each of those unlocks a treasure, and nailing all three in one run unlocks the last treasure.

I've heard people compare it to Ratchet & Clank, and given the little I saw of those games at GDQ I'd say that's accurate. There's some collection stuff where you get drops from enemies to power up your robot buddies. But for the most part you'll be fine as long as you don't rush past enemies without fighting/getting the drops after they die and you take the time to blow away the destructibles in your path (which drop some stuff). If you want to keep stats maxed and build every part then yeah, you gotta grind, but playing normally it's unnecessary.

I've lost interest.

Turns out Atlus plans to release Persona 5 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. They nixed the PS3 release. I guess I can't blame them. Except for the part where they said they were going to release the PS3 version in USA. I guess that was before Atlus realized it'd be Feb 2017 before the game made it here. Who even plays PS3 anymore?

I wish it was coming out for Vita, I'd prefer it on a handheld.

I still haven't finished a single Persona game. I have the most time in Innocent Sin, which is a very different beast.

I put a ton of time into Persona 4: Golden on the Vita. Like 118 hours. Really enjoyed that one.

That's weird Atlus of all people are ditching the PS3 there, considering there's still stuff like those Legend of Heroes Cold Steel games coming out on it and other Japanese-esque stuff. My PS3 isn't going anywhere and considering the potential install base at this point... sounds like a bad decision to me. I mean, I've got a PS4, I just don't see the point in not bringing it to both. lol

I plan to check it out, but I'm not totally convinced Persona is for me yet.
