I held my first gym today with my Vaporeon for around 1-3hours, no idea how long since I didn't see a timestamp. Was coming home from dropping the kid off at school for her first day, some church is one and yellow team was on it, and I splashed them for team red.

You're Valor? Wise choice, brother. I asked earlier what teams everyone here was on but I guess you all missed it. I know Michi is Mystic and that's about it. Instinct is nowhere near as popular as Valor and Mystic are around here.

I got my Vaporeon back around 6-7PM. Another 50+ hour performance. Which is fine because I wanted it back in time for the weekend. I also picked up 9 potions from stops today (4 super, 3 regular, 2 hyper) which is going to help. I also got another 10km egg. As enticing as gym battles are now, I need to hang on to my star fighters as well as my potions. I can always toss out lesser items to make room for them.

I'm on team Mystic. I'm currently on holiday in France and left my Slowbro on a blue gym in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. It's been there three days and counting now. I might never get it back XD

If I had one of my Pokémon in another country that would be awesome. But I will say I don't like fighting Slowbro-s. I think it's easier to counter the Psychic type than it is the Water type of one of them, the quick Electric attacks don't do nearly as much damage as the charge versions do. I think your Slowbro will be staying there for a while.

You probably brought it up before I bothered to pick a side or register the game maybe? Either way I don't play serious, it's gamed when I get out because it's limited on when I can do so. I just hit lv15 which gave me a heap of stuff beyond my inventory limit too. A 5k egg opened up, another common let down with a poliwag I cashed out for candy. I think it's 50 to get the polywhirl to the final form and if so I'm 1/2 there.

I'm kind of getting tired seeing some amazing pokemon people automagically somehow get without trading that I never see. All that ever comes up in the areas I can go to is the most common crap other than a one off here or there like the vulpix and it's tiresome. Just once the 5k egg popped a magnemite, never had another since to get to evolving that which is depressing. I really hope they start adding more variety into all areas of the world and trades.

Congrats on Level 15. I'm getting closer to 22, but I'm building up evolution inventory (that is, Pidgeys/Rattatas/etc.) as well as getting closer in candy to some newer types I want to evolve at the same time (Sandslash/Seaking/Seadra), so yes I'm waiting for them to go as well as my 9 brand new eggs (1 10km, 6 5km, 2 2km). When the time is right and I can do all those evolutions at the same time, I should reach or be even closer to 22.

Good re-supply run today too. Picked up nearly 20 potions, at least 5 were Hyper. Saturday is looking real good. Re-supply again tomorrow morning, running out of bag space really fast. I'm just dumping Revives (saving enough for Gyms) and even some regular balls right now, I'm over 50 Great and 20 Ultra again, that will be good for hopefully the stuff I can find that I don't have yet. Lots of stops and gyms (and hopefully more pictures) planned.

Last weekend was pretty good to me despite the weather. Was able to head a little outside of town and caught a few new guys.

Sandshrew (Okay, a hatch, but close enough)

Abra
Drowzee
Dodrio

I also hatched a strong Bellsprout. It should evolve into a pretty powerful Victreebel once I get enough candies for it. I'm currently hoarding over a dozen Pidgey's, 3 Caterpie's, 6 Weedle's, 5 Rattata's, 2 Spearow's, 2 Nidoran's (One of each) and about a half dozen other Pokemon to use a Lucky Egg on this weekend. Weather permitting.

Last weekend may have been a wash, but this one looks pretty clear. All the planned evolving will bump me up to Lvl 16 and with the new additions to the roster+Stops+the Egg hatch+anything else I can catch, I might even make it to Lvl 17 if I'm lucky.

Next weekend I'm heading off to Colorado. Before the trackers went down I did a couple cursory searches and the area looked to be predictably packed with Rock, Ground and Electric types. Of course, that was before they made all the changes. So who knows if that's still accurate. With any luck I'll still be able to stock up on some good, new Pokemon while I'm there. *crosses fingers*

So the other day, my daughter and I were walking and playing Pokemon Go. I have been saving up gold for a lucky egg and needed just thirty more to go. I noticed an open gym nearby and decided to walk there. When I got there the spot was taken..Drat. I see another nearby gym with two open spots. I walk there and get it. Further on our walk I see another gym with an open spot. I grab it and keep moving. A third gym pops up belonging to the rival team. Level 2, 1 pokemon with a 600 cp. I rush there to make it in time. right before the battle starts, I see the previous gym is under attack. I make a mad break and get the gym, redeem the coins and two of the three gyms fall just seconds later. Popped the lucky egg and spent the rest of the walk home evolving from level 19 to half way through level 21. I didn't even finish my evolutions in the time limit.

Time to build up more.

Also, just the other day my wife and I hit up an IHOP for breakfast. In the parking lot I caught 2 ghastlies, a jynx, 4 drowzees and a sandshrew in roughly fifteen minutes time. The place was a hotbed of stuff!

Can I get a place like that? I'm so close to evolving 3 or 4 new ones for extra XP and I can't seem to find any.

I'm finalizing my inventory for tomorrow. A few more stops for today and then I'll hopefully have all my items in good balance for the adventure. Balls and potions are looking good.

25 Ultra Balls
Over 100 potions
Plenty of incense, lucky eggs, lure modules
9 incubators with eggs (2 2km, 6 5km, 1 10km) all should be hatched today

and a brand new evolved Flareon I'm calling "Flareon 2" that has the same level, HP, and 6 less CP than my other Flareon (currently in a nearby gym), this one has Flamethrower as the secondary attack, so I'll be giving it a try in battle today hopefully!

If all goes well, I should be reaching level 22 today.
