What are the best places to find retro game stuff?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What stores? I went to the Franklin Mills mall a few times but all they seem to have is tons and tons of clothing stores.

There is a store simply called Game Store, its just inside the yellow entrance, and there is a Game Trader that is near the smaller food court

Thanks, I'll try to check those out sometime, what kind of stuff do they usually have?

@corn619, seems like a good site, but I don't really like bidding for stuff unless it's something I really want.

Amazon's used games have always been a solid alternative to eBay in my experience.
I run the 8/16-bit retro site TimeWarpGamer and if you want to follow the latest updates, check me out on Twitter.

Does that site keep everything in the Toys/Dolls/Games section, or do they sometimes have games lumped somewhere else? I've seen video game stuff in the games section, though it's usually nothing compared to the amount of board games.

As to the original question, I search eBay, Chasethechuckwagon.com, Craigslist, two local Gamestops, and a nearby shop called Replays. All my local shops really suck though, so the Internet has been a real life saver.

On the shopgoodwill.com they are under camera's & electronic equip -> Gaming Systems and Games.

and @ futuramaguy42 The stores at the Mall are usually up and down with what they have. Usually Common Nintendo and Genesis Games. The one called Game Store is usually over priced, but every once in a while has sales... One time I got Sonic and Knuckles there CIB for $1, now its $20. They have a lot of 3rd party accessories new for systems like Genesis, SNES, and N64 (ex they sell new N64 ram expanders). Its really hit or miss when you go in. Sometimes they have a bunch of systems, sometimes they dont. Systems are usually a bit over priced, but one time they did have a Sega CD for $30. They are also a good place to go for modern games that are usually sold out everywhere else (ex: they had Wii in stock when you couldnt find it anywhere at mainstream stores, same with Wii Fit and Mario Kart)

Game Trader sells mostly used new games, used blu-rays and depending on if you show up at the right time, a ton of retro games. One time i walked in and was looking at some nintendo games, and the guy working there just walked over with 2 big boxes of stuff behind the counter that someone traded in and they didnt even go through.. he just said $5 each for whatever game you want. Was able to grab quite a few good nintendo games.

That's an meh price for a Saturn, mine was around 40 for the system with 2 controllers and a few games, and it was in the original box.

I've seen a few good titles in there from time to time, and I will say that they do take better care of their stuff, but from what I hear, the Tuscaloosa store is bad mostly because its manager is a douche and everybody hates him. Also, why does Replay's hate Sega so much? The most I've ever seen for DC titles in one store is five(sports games), and there's never anything for the Saturn whatsoever. Even the Genesis collections are usually pitifully small in comparison to the others.
