As I recall Coca Cola has similar security precautions around their recipe.

I am not sure what they are protecting
seems very easy to copy, and the chicken is not longer chicken
better tasting kfc style restaurants are out there already.

Where I am, u know very well not to eat KFC before a work/school day!

Supposedly there was a university chemistry team that decoded the recepy and found no herbs or spices except salt and pepper... I believe it was later revealed to be a hoax.

That is a common misconception. KFC, like most companies, attempted to rebrand itself a couple years ago (1990ish) and it caused alot of rumors like that one to pop up. Most new KFC's have the original name spelled out (it is only understandable that they would run through their old stock of signs for the more "less trendy, read rural, areas). They tried to just use the abbreviation because they were pushing out to a bigger variety of food, lets face it fried chicken aint healthy.

I believe, in the USA atleast, they only sell top tier Tyson chicken
