Re: E3 2016
i dunno if its because of my age or maybe ive just really lost interest in videogames(current) but im with jmbarnes101 on this. im just really not excited for anything. i remember last year i have the same feeling but at least i still got excited for a few things like starfox. but this year.. i just dont even know how to get hyped up for any of these. i know the kojima thing should be huge but strangely i dont feel anything about it. people are hyped for RE but i can still remember clearly how much people have dismissed capcom because of RE6. all the VR stuff? maybe i need to try it before i can generate any form of excitement. i must have some psychological problem already
Re: E3 2016
Wait, of all the things you could have been excited about last year, you choose Star Fox?

I'm pretty excited about RE7. The trailer worked for me, and it looks good. January seems far away for that one.
Spider-man looks awesome. As for the costume, it's not bad, and there are worse designs (like the first Amazing Spider-man movie). But let's face it, this is a Spider-man game, there will be an unlockable costume or two. Almost guaranteed.
I'm also super happy we're getting an adult Peter Parker with experience. The "rookie" thing they've been pushing in media outside the comics for the past few years drives me freaking crazy.
I admit to being kinda bummed it's only on PS4, as I'd much rather play it on the system with the superior controller, but that's not a big deal.

Re: E3 2016
Not been too excited by what I've seen so far, but there's been one or two things that have perked my interest. The year's been weaker overall than last year for sure.
Still stuff I like the look of:
The Rare pirate game looks interesting. Odds are I'll never get round to playing it - I don't own the console and by the time I get one I bet the online servers will be dead as a doornail. Still, pirates are cool.
Last Guardian looks cool. Excited for that one to come out at the end of the year.
It wasn't on the stage, but they released a new trailer for Gravity Rush 2 which looks more of the same, but prettier, so that's cool.
Just waiting to see Zelda now. Pretty uninteresting year to me overall

Other than the innovative possibilities for VR, nothing yet has excited me. Ever prettier games reiterated in ever protracted series doesn't turn me on.Xeogred wrote:I just don't get some of you guys. Sony knocked it out of the park.jmbarnes101 wrote:I'm just not feeling anything I've seen today.
What an amazing time to be a gamer.

I don't know, I thought the Sony conference yesterday had as many new IPs as old.Exhuminator wrote:. Ever prettier games reiterated in ever protracted series doesn't turn me on.
Sony
New:
Death Stranding
The Last Guardian
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Detroit: Become Human
Days Gone
Farpoint
Old:
Final Fantasy
God of War
Resident Evil
COD
Star Wars
Crash Bandicoot
Then there was stuff like Spiderman, which is kind of an in-betweener (new devs, old IP).
Off the top of my head, we got a fair number of new IPs from Ubisoft and MS too, yesterday: Steep, For Honor, Recore, We Happy Few, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, and a few others that slip my mind.
There's plenty of new blood in the old IPs, too. Zelda and God of War will be in open world settings, Resident Evil will be in VR, Forza Horizon 3 will be in Australia, COD will be in space, etc. I can see some E3 fatigue with the steady parade of yearly titles that have been highlighted, but it seems to me that there is a lot more genuinely new stuff being shown this year than in recent memory.

Re: E3 2016
Good to see some new IPs, even if it seemed like all I was hearing about in this thread was people being excited about sequels.
VR (and AR) is still the only tech in modern gaming that truly excites me now. And only for the possibilities it offers beyond just shoot shoot games. I honestly believe VR will change video gaming as we know it forever. I just don't know if it will be this current iteration of the technology we have available. But one day? Bet on it.
