I'm inclined to think that they will become rather expensive, I really can't see them getting as cheap as wii games. I've been buying up all the wii u games that interest me now to avoid high prices in the after market

I agree. The Wii U is basically Sega Saturn: Part 2.

If you guys think so, yeah.

And Nintendo games are no safer than the rest... (cue Xenoblade, Metroid Prime Trilogy, etc...) we already had an issue with the original run of Bayonetta 2 becoming rare, though I think that's also a case of Platinum Games never having a long print run (apparently Vanquish is shooting up in price now too).

When do yall think is the best time to buy Kirby and the Rainbow Curse? I'm seeing it floating between $20 and $30 now online; think it'll drop anymore, or is now the best time to pick it up?

Wii U is one of Nintendo's "worst" consoles. It still has a handful of good games though, and a few great ones. I agree with others that it seems like a prime collector's piece as the game library is relatively small and most probably got a much smaller print run than the normal.

Regarding pricing, I have not idea how that will go... but (in Canada) haven't seen many Wii U deals since Target left town. Generally, if I see a decent Wii U game for $20 or $25 I buy it pretty quickly - that's higher than what I would've paid for Wii, but the deals just haven't been the same for Wii U.

As expensive and expansive as Saturn's library? Nah never. Probably Gamecube Part 2 though, but with a much, much smaller library and nonexistent collectible imports so hey collecting for the system will be quite cheap and easy.

Original discs and system hardware...maybe? I tend to assume that most things from 7th gen and on will wind up being made available digitally if there's demand, if not rolled into HD collections or something.

Maybe it's just subjective, but it seems like there are also a lot more people deliberately collecting now, versus back in the late 90s or whatever. So, limited run as some things are, they're probably still moving more copies than niche games did back then.

Overall, I don't really think there'll be the same demand for it down the road.

I dunno about worst, there might be more games overall that I enjoy versus the N64. But it certainly wasn't the relative success that system was.

I just really hope folks buy the NX.

What is the NX though? Sure I hope people buy it but I don't know if I will since I don't know what it is. I do enjoy my Wii U though.

Whatever the NX is, it will be awesome. It may be a commercial disaster, but it will be awesome; Nintendo rarely releases anything that isn't. I'm still making my mind up about whether or not the Virtual Boy is awesome now that I have one, but that's the only piece of hardware I can think of that Nintendo has released that I haven't thought was fantastic.

Nintendo and good collections/digital ports? That's a bit too optimistic... :P
