AKA "The Church", the film was on TCM Underground recently. Produced by Dario Argento and directed by Michele Soavi (the two also wrote the story), The Church is the third entry in the Demons series (haven't seen Demons 2 yet), though has nothing really to do with either one (though Demons 1 exists as a fictional film in the world of Demons 2) aside from the nature of the demonic creatures (which is treated like a virus of sorts, that infects a "patient zero" of sorts who then spreads the curse to others).

Not proud to admit this, but I was kinda distracted with my phone while watching this. Mostly I thought it was a good film, but it wasn't something I genuinely was interested by. But that was in no way the film's fault but rather my own. But while it wasn't what I usually prefer, I still gave it a shot.

But I told her that we need to watch Captain America and Thor (which we do not own) first. Is it like you will enjoy Avengers *more* if you see those first, or is it like you won't really understand Avengers unless you see those first?
You'd definitely reduce the whole "what is the deal with..." type questions if you watch Thor and The First Avenger beforehand (and Iron Man 2 as well). Even if you know of the characters, the Avengers does basically hit the ground running with Asgardian stuff that may not be as familiar.

Really, if you want a "bigger" Marvel movie that doesn't need any setup, watch Guardians of the Galaxy.

yeah I'll probably suggest Guardians next.

We do have Iron Man 2 as well.

Thor also reveals Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye for the first time, though it's a cameo more than anything.

Forgot about that one, Ack. You're right. Hawkeye makes a cameo in Thor.

Also, Scarlett Johansson plays Black Widow for the first time in Iron Man 2 (which is probably the best thing about that movie).

Galactus makes for a great villain too, because he's not evil; he's a force of nature.

Namor is a fascinating anti-hero in FF comics. I'd like to see another WWII era movie with Captain America and Namor.

Doctor Doom doesn't excite me much. He's kind of bland really. He's a metal-faced egotistical dictator. He could just as easily be a James Bond villain. The most interesting thing about Doctor Doom is his name.

As far as incorporating Fantastic Four into the MCU... I think Tony Stark just announced a genius grant to fund projects that could change the world. Reed Richards invents a new type of Space Propulsion. Disney can make it seem timely and relevant because we are currently living in the days of SpaceX when civilians are funding space travel.
Silver Surfer would be more exciting, but Doom has some great moments in the comics. He works best as a megalomaniac villain whom's extremely dangerous.

That would be a fantastic way to introduce Richards.

Namor wouldn't be part of the deal, Universal still holds rights to the screen version of the character. But as far as period piece marvel movies go, I'd like to see a few of those as well. A Young Nick Fury movie set in the 80s with a shield being ran by Carter, Stark, and Pym, play up the cold war espionage aspect like a 70s bond flick, it'd be awesomesauce.

While I was dropping off a package at the UPS store today I stopped in a goodwill located next to it that I hadn't been inside in a year or two and found some old VHS horror movies that looked interesting. They had a pretty good selection but I just bothered grabbing the ones I hadn't bumped into on DVD before aside from Day of the Dead which I just picked up because I've never seen it all the way through. Blood Diner and Dead Alive both have pretty whacky but cool trailers.

Edit:
Dead Alive (AKA Braindead) is the also the third film that Peter Jackson wrote/directed no wonder I got a Bad Taste vibe from the trailer lol.

Dead Alive is a fantastic campy zombie movie, that just so happens to be made by Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings and King Kong fame.

I watch it once a year just for good laughs, it has everything I could want in a zombie movie. You'll love it

Depending on what shape the films are I might swing over there again sometime somebody must have dropped off their old horror collection there since there were probably 20 or so 80-90s era horror films out on the shelves.

Out Of The Shadows is not a GREAT movie, but it is a load of fun. I think I enjoyed it more than the last since we're out of the retelling the origin story AGAIN and just having fun with a new story. Rocksteady & Bebop look cool. Krang looks awesome. Lots of little nods to 90's-ness. A good time. I recommend it.
