What are the best places to find retro game stuff?

What are the best places to find retro games and systems?

Usually I go to yard sales or my local game store but not many people have yard sales this time of year and my local game store hasn't got there phone up at the new location yet so I can't contact them.

Retro TV Game Revival, Super Potato, Sofmap, Media-Land, really anywhere in Den Den Town. Simply buy a plane ticket to Tokyo, head from Tokyo to Osaka via bullet train, hop off at Shin-Osaka station. Take the Sakaisuji Line of Osaka Municipal Subway to Ebisuchō Station and use exit 1A or 1B which will lead directly into Den Den Town.

These are the "best" places for retro Other than that you kind of just have to suck it up and pay ebay. Do you have any CD Game-Exchange or Gamer Traders near? Another place is "Everyday Music" I think those are kind of unique here in the NW, maybe not.

No, I'm on the east coast, so I don't have any of those places.

Craigslist, thrift stores, pawn shops.... And then every town has some random ma and pa store that sells old stuff. They are just always hard to find if you are looking yourself, as they often times arent listed or if they are, move often.. Where exactly are you located?

Plus, you have to be consistent about checking these places. 4/5 times I never find anything neat at my local Goodwill, just boring stuff or crap that's overpriced, but sometimes I find amazing things (like the CDI Zeldas for $2 each, or a Nintendo DS Lite for $30) Also try to check random places that carry second hand stuff even if they don't usually have games - for instance, this one boring place my mom likes to visit that usually only has old lady clothes had Tetris and Metroid II for the Gameboy, then a nearby equally boring consignment shop had an SNES with DK Country, Mario World, Secret of Mana, Zelda, and Killer Instinct for $40. Consistently visiting places like these is sort of like gambling in that you're taking a chance as to whether or not you'll find anything, but a simple weekly five minutes of your time can have awesome paybacks if you're consistent.

there is a play n trade up that way somewhere, or just drive 20 mins south to philly there is a bunch of places... Franklin Mills Mall has 2 stores that sell retro gaming stuff. They are both hit or miss on what they have in, but i've gotten nice stuff cheap at both of them.

What stores? I went to the Franklin Mills mall a few times but all they seem to have is tons and tons of clothing stores.

This site is great if your patient you can get a great price. Aside from racketboy I use http://www.shopgoodwill.com its great and you can pretty much steal stuff if just low bid everything.
