Anyone still playing Splatoon?

Post by Flake »

The ink bug has me again and I am blown away by how much content has been added while I was away. Anyone still playing or up to play again?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I played religiously for a few months, then stopped playing as more games came out.

I did get an itch to play again a month or two back and was also overwhelmed by how much new content had been added. To be honest, it actually kinda put me off. I felt overwhelmed and because I hadn't played in so long, I was shit at it again (at least compared to when I was at my peak of playing the game).

I hope to get into it again soon though. I just need to get over that initial hurdle and I'll soo be back :)

I never got on with the motion controls, and all the clicking 'a' through new weapon announcements at the shop got really old, really fast. Also the slow map rotation is lame. But yes, I gave it another try last weekend after a multi month break.

If you guys are interested, maybe we could put together some type of game night in the not too distant future. Even if we suck, we'll suck together which is way more fun than I just made it sound.

Yeah, I would be game. Would just have to work through time differences (I'm in the UK).

FYI. You can turn off the motion controls in the menu system. Its much better without them on.

I'd be down to join a game with you guys... I'm free to play this evening after say 9pm CST.

Count me in! I've been wanting to play Splatoon again for a while. I accidentally left the game in Louisiana when I moved last year and just got my hands on another copy. I'll be hooking up my Wii U at the new place this weekend.

I actually prefer motions controls being on. I feel like my reaction time is a lot quicker and my shots are more accurate once I got used to them.

Did they nerf the rollers, by the way? I don't care if it's cheap, I loved the rollers! I used to rule at those... they seem crap now. Either that, or they've introduced far more powerful weapons that make rollers seem weak in comparison.

I don't play much anymore, but I'd be down for a game. I'm on the US east coast, but since I teach and will be on summer break in a couple weeks, I'll be good more or less whenever soon. :D

Played quite a few matches tonight and really got back into the game. I've taken up the 96 Glad Deco as my weapon of choice for now.
