This is actually part of the reason why I have so many, because I often scoop up FPS as soon as they arrive out of concern they may be taken down before I can. I missed out on Cryostasis as a result of that and don't want to repeat that.

Yeah, Duke 3D has been gone for a while too. GoG was supposed to hash out a deal with the new owners of 3D Realms but it hasn't happened.

XIII is the same way for some of my friends. I snagged it once while it was on sale. Lucky me, several of my friends missed out on it. The same thing happened with nearly all of the Nordic Games' FPS when those were pulled. Thankfully I had bought all of the ones available, and now that they're back, I'm only missing Men of Valor.

Men of Valor was underrated, I enjoyed beating it*. You'll hear: "Motherfuckers tryin' to box us in!" a hundred times and never get tired of it.

*On PC, don't know about console versions.

Nice unbeaten FPS list. I'm not even going to attempt a similar version. I've got tons of them from the boxed-physical to the GOG. But this summer I'm hoping to try at least 4-5 of them. I'm almost done with CoJ 2 then it's over to the CoD for June/TR.

I had no idea Descent was gone. They had crazy sales on them and I always passed them up. I only ever played the first game.

THAT'S GONE TOO? Glad I got that (on sale)!

I've got a boxed XIII so I'm good. I also got those Full Spectrum Warrior games when they re-appeared for a few days during a special Nordic Games sale after they were pulled down. I see they're back for now.

Yeah, sorry man, all of those are gone too. I'd actually beaten XIII by the time it popped up on GOG, but as I no longer had access, I swooped it up as soon as I could. This is just GOG though; like you said, if I included everything, this list would get a lot longer. And I'm also looking to hopefully knock out a few of these over the summer. Turok: Dinosaur Hunter came first, now I'm on Thief Gold, but I'm looking at Call of Duty 2 next month myself. And then the likes of System Shock, Magic Carpet, and Ghost Recon are all possibilities after that. I've got some great gaming choices in my future.

Retail XIII has Starforce, so be careful with your install.

Is Starforce really that bad? I've seen conflicting things, some saying that it's straight up malware and some saying that it's not harmful at all.

It does not work on Win8 on to my knowledge.

The statements of it being malware are apparently blown out of proportion by Gaming Sites, but I had a computer working perfectly fine until I installed XIII, then it started getting slow and having harddrive issues. So I wiped it and reinstalled the OS and everything was working fine for a couple weeks. Reinstalled XIII and shortly after the harddrive died. Havent touched the game since because of it. Call it superstition if you want, but there was only one constant.
