Ya know, a nearby Red Box might solve some of these problems.

If you liked Deadpool you will probably like Guardians of the Galaxy it's got a great sense of humor it's just a lot more pg.

Oh and don't forget that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Agents of Shield are all available on Netflix and are set in the same universe as the other marvel movies although only Agent's of Shield really is closely connected.

nearby movie store that was closing... so I picked up all of these for $3.50 each - several being 2-disc collector's editions: the first 2 Raimi Spider-mans; the 2 Amazing Spider-Mans; the first 3 X-Men; the first 2 Fantastic Fours; the first Ironman. So yeah, I've got some stuff to get going with. I've only seen a few of these prior.

Point of order, Daredevil is in the X-Men universe so under Fox's purview. There's no crossover with the MCU.

I am sure someone else will set this straight, but the Netflix shows reference the MCU movies fairly often, and the aftermath of those movies is a major basis for the plot.

I totally read that as Deadpool. Carry on, nothing to see here. Go watch Jessica Jones; best piece of television ever made.

Yes, the Netflix Shows (and Agents of Shield/Agent Carter, which aren't Netflix Shows but are on Netflix) are all part of the MCU. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Ironfist are all going to be separate shows that eventually team up for a Defenders special - I don't know if they've decided if it'll be a miniseries, a movie, or what. Basically they're supposed to be the Street Level superheroes whereas the movies were supposed to be the World Level superheroes.

Anyway, I'll probably keep an eye out at yard sales and such and maybe hit up that movie store I mentioned. So most likely I'll be watching whichever movies I happen upon. But, I'm sure with numbered movies (like the Ironman ones) I'll make the effort to keep em chronological.
There's plenty of people out there who will give you the order they should be watched in if you're interested...

But for the most part it's not terribly important (especially not weaving in the shows, imo... it's neat, but minor) I would say.

yeah I'm not gonna stress too much about order other than with numbered series. My wife said "which one do you want to watch first?" and I said "Ironman," and she said "yeah, me too."

As far as the TV shows go, I'm interested, but not super interested. IE: I don't spend a lot of time watching TV shows. I feel like I'd be more prone to watch them *after* I have seen more of the movies. Is Jessica Jones that good? I've heard very little about it.

Plus there's all those animated films. Gotta pace myself haha. Like I said, more than anything I'm just gonna take it easy and grab movies as I see them at yard sales/thrift shops.
