It used to be I'd see the Harry Potter films in theaters, but with this I didn't (I believe at the time it was in theatres, the now-defunct local movie theatre was closed for the winter). Same with Part 2 (I checked out both from the library today).
Loved it. Can't wait for Part 2, which I'll start in a bit.
finally saw Deadpool and it was bloody brilliant. Easily one of my favorite comic book movies ever. Or rather super hero/love story/horror movies. Ha! But seriously, I'm thrilled the powers that be had the balls to make a Deadpool movie the hard R it needed to be in order to exist for a reason. Sequel, please.

It seems to be a very polarizing film that way. I read the comic and loved it, and thought the movie was a fantastic adaptation (within the limits of a film). There were lots of little details that I just loved. But I don't expect everyone else to get the same mileage out of it. It wasn't a film well-targeted to broad audiences.

I think Idris is great, and have only seen Hiddleston as Loki. Honestly, neither of them feels like a good Bond fit though. Given the two choices and none other, I hope Idris gets it.
