I'm stuck between enjoying my library, wanting the money, and being too lazy to sell everything.Xeogred wrote:Hate to admit the temptation hits me too. I haven't sold or traded in games in over a decade... but when they start hitting those triple digits it gets a little tempting haha.Ziggy587 wrote:I've long thought about selling my Mega Man X2 and X3 carts and using the money to get an Sd2snes. IDK, as much as I consider myself to be a gamer, I guess some part of me is a collector as well.

IIRC, byuu (of bsnes fame) acquired a complete CIB SNES library, documented each game, and then sold the lot.

Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
There was a thread on this forum about it. And I remember byuu had a blog post about it on his site. I don't remember much of the details though.SNESdrunk wrote:Six figures?Ziggy587 wrote:IIRC, byuu (of bsnes fame) acquired a complete CIB SNES library, documented each game, and then sold the lot.
edit: Oh, I was the one that created the thread?

That site does have pics of SNES game boards.
The particular article that I am linking is what scares me the most though. Towards the end of the page, there's a bootleg game that looks nigh identical, besides the printing on the rom chips.
I would have posted it earlier (and maybe someone did on another thread), but I forgot where I found it for a while.
...just another lost soul...

Fascinating. I certainly hope that it normalizes the market a bit, and I'm willing to put in the research to make sure it's legit.

So I picked up a copy of Secret of Mana from a member here about a month ago and I just started playing it this week. It's my first time playing this game and wow, I see why this gets so much praise. The music and visuals are top notch. The combat is exactly what I expected it to be. The only negative I have so far is the scrolling, you get way to close to the edge of the screen before it moves. I got hit a few times before I started to adjust to that.

It's a brilliant game. And the soundtrack makes my balls happy.
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
I'd dare say that sound track both in variety and quality is probably not surpassed by anything else on the system. I used to own the import soundtrack to it back in college and would just listen to it while doing other stuff. Even in the day I did some XM tracker music I did some of its sound track along with the amazing prequel on GB too.
Somewhere on my drive here I have a really huge scan of this full poster sized art of the mana tree that's digitized into the title screen with the heroes on it and some of those pink birds.
