That's not necessarily shocking. Link To The Past is a masterpiece. The only one I played after that one was Wind Waker. And although it's visually amazing, it didn't suck me in quite as much. I never finished it, and never played another after that.

I think he couldn't stand that the film actually sucks balls and couldn't dare show his face here ever again after bigging it up for soooo long. If not then either he was a bot, or getting paid to spam this site, then realised how cool we were and decided to 'bunk off' by posting non REPO related stuff. He then got caught and subsequently fired.

I hope LoD comes back! I miss his epic rants. Gives me something to read when I'm bored marking work at College.

I try to avoid that, as I did enjoy FF7 when I was playing it mostly in a vacuum (didn't have easy internet access, so less fandom). But I do agree that the game is rediculously overhyped.

About FF7 fandom: I'm under the impression that every person who says FF7 is the best RPG ever played it as their first RPG.

Confession-wise: Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite game in the series.
